Original job description

About Citco

The market leader. The premier provider. The best in the business. At Citco, we’ve been the front-runner in our field since our incorporation in 1948 led to the evolution of the asset servicing sector itself. This pioneering spirit continues to guide us today as we innovate and expand, push beyond the boundaries of our industry, and shape its future. From working exclusively with hedge funds to serving all alternatives, corporations and private clients, our organization has grown immensely across asset classes and geographies. For us, this progress is a pattern that we’ll only maintain as we move forward, always prioritizing our performance. So for those who want to play at the top of their game and be at the vanguard of their space, we say: Welcome to Citco.

About the Team & Business Line

Fund Administration is Citco’s core business, and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the industry’s most respected. Our continuous investment in learning and technology solutions means our people are equipped to deliver a seamless client experience.

Strategic Operations is a dedicated function within Private Assets. It brings transformation delivery, project execution, business analysis, operational initiatives and implementation support into one team, reducing the delivery burden on BAU Operations and maintaining ownership from design through adoption.

The group will be split across three distinct focus areas, aligned under two individual leaders:

Operating Model, Product & Client Solutions: led by the Operating Model & Product leader, this area will define how services should run end to end, shape scalable products and solutions, support complex client implementations, and ensure client commitments are operationally deliverable.

Data, Reporting & Platform Enablement: led by the Technology, Data & Delivery leader, this area will define Operations requirements for data, reporting and platforms, strengthen data quality and lineage, and carry solutions through testing, deployment and adoption.

Digital Workflow, Automation & AI: also led by the Technology, Data & Delivery leader, this area will identify and deliver workflow, automation and AI opportunities, establish appropriate controls, and measure whether the expected benefits are realised.

The group works in close partnership with Operations, the Transformation Office, IT, Tactical Operations and Marquee Client teams. Roles may be permanent or approximately 12-month rotational assignments anchored in strategic locations. Rotational colleagues will join from the business, help shape and deliver change, and return to the line with broader project experience.

Responsibilities

Your Role

You will lead the Operations data, reporting and platform agenda for Private Assets - setting requirements with IT and the Transformation Office, and delivering alongside them.
Own the Operations view of the data and reporting roadmap, including data quality, lineage, ownership and reporting capability.
Set out Operations’ requirements with IT and the Transformation Office, then deliver alongside them rather than handing over.
Lead platform enablement work - ensuring platform change is specified, tested and adopted with Operations in the room throughout.
Establish reporting standards and reusable data products rather than one-off extracts.
Provide the data and evidence base that other focus areas rely on to quantify a problem and measure a benefit.
Coordinate across Operations, IT, the Transformation Office, Tactical Operations and Data Services.
Lead and mentor focus area resources, including rotational colleagues joining from the business.
Report on progress, risks, dependencies and benefits realisation to the relevant leader and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

About You

You have 12–15 years’ experience in private assets or a comparable financial services environment, with substantial exposure to data and platform initiatives.
Proven delivery of data, reporting or platform programmes, including requirements definition and UAT ownership.
Strong technical knowledge of private assets accounting and operations, and of the data those processes produce and consume.
Practical understanding of data models, lineage, controls and reporting architecture.
Credibility with technology partners - able to challenge a design and hold a delivery date.
Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience of other professionals, including rotational colleagues joining from the business.
Skilled in business planning, budgeting and stakeholder negotiation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint).
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field; professional accounting designation a plus.

What We Expect of the Strategic Operations Team

Regardless of role or focus area, everyone in Strategic Operations is expected to demonstrate the following:
Deep technical and operational knowledge - genuine depth in how our processes, data and platforms actually work - the detail that only comes from having run the work.
Curiosity - the instinct to ask why a process looks the way it does, to challenge the answer, and to keep asking whether there is a better way.
A transformational mindset - comfortable redesigning end to end rather than patching, and prepared to see change through past go-live to the point where it is genuinely adopted.
Ownership through to adoption - accountability does not end at delivery; success is measured by whether the change sticks in the business.
Commercial and client awareness - an understanding of what we can genuinely run, so that what we commit to a client is deliverable.
Global mindset - working across regions, jurisdictions and time zones, and designing solutions that scale beyond a single desk, client or location.
Ambition to shape Citco’s future - an appetite to help build the operating model we will run for years, and to be measured on whether it works.

This position is not for an existing vacancy; we are building a candidate pool for future opportunities.

Our Benefits

Your well-being is of paramount importance to us, and central to our success. We provide a range of benefits, training and education support, and flexible working arrangements to help you achieve success in your career while balancing personal needs. Ask us about specific benefits in your location.

We embrace diversity, prioritizing the hiring of people from diverse backgrounds. Our inclusive culture is a source of pride and strength, fostering innovation and mutual respect.

Citco welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities. Accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection.
