Original job description
THE COMMONS XR would sincerely like to thank the current internship cohort and look forward to the next intern cohort. As such we are seeking unpaid interns who are pursuing Gaming professional experiences but you must have a foundation in UNITY platform to be able to learn, train and apply your knowledge in this internship. You need experience in the Unity editor, regardless of whether you are using with C# code or as an editor for modeling and/or user experience. Unfortunately many of you will just blindly autosubmit without reading this. We will ask you for a keycode at the bottom of this description if we interview you.
Please note that you will be asked to complete a Homework assignment for us to better understand your foundational knowledge of the Unity Editor through coding. If you are applying for more of a modeling role, please indicate in the questions below.
Our company is about creating a platform for better social/emotional personal wellness as well as helping navigate social challenges, through the use of the next generation tools (MetaVerse and AI modeling). You will be working alongside myself (CEO/CTO) and our Unity team to learn about and train in Unity 3D experiences. Some of you may be working with our data team if you are more interested in the intersection of state machines and gaming.
You must be available Friday AMs (9-11 AM PST) for our standup and simulated immersive experiences. Please do not apply if these times are not available, but it would be nice if you tell us. We offer internships every semester, Spring, Summer and Fall.
Preferred start dates are typically before you start your school semester and end after finals or overlapped with the next semester cohort. We anticipate a commitment of at least 12 hours/week for those of you still in school, whereas OPT will be expected (required) 21 hours/week of training/experience building. We prefer students in school, but will base internship on the quality of the homework, resume and interview. here the keycode is green.
