Original job description

The VP Finance is responsible for consolidating and managing the Grad Night Service budget.

\nQualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar software.
Knowledge of AMS and CUS financial system and infrastructure is an asset.
Previous budgeting and accounting experience is highly desirable.

Main Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Chair to prepare and manage the allocated budget.
Serve as the primary point of contact with CUS Finance Commission.
Manage financial duties including, but not limited to, reimbursements, invoices, and tracking expenditures.
Work with the VP External to seek additional financial support and process monetary sponsorships.
Participate in regular executive team meetings and contribute to decision-making.
Other ad hoc tasks as needed to deliver one of the best experiences to the graduating class.

Anticipated Learning Outcomes

Ability to plan and budget a large-scale event.
Improved analytical and problem-solving skills.
Enhanced project management skills through involvement in planning and executing the graduation night.

Time Commitment

Approximately 6 hours per week, with an increase to 10 hours during peak planning periods.
