We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position provides day-to-day administrative support to the Accounting team and the broader operation. The role is well suited to someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of routine office activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative support to the Accounting team, including assisting with accounts payable processes and related documentation.
- Gather operational information and assist with preparing and distributing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems, including filing, scanning, archiving, and retrieving records as required.
- Coordinate office supplies and inventory, including monitoring stock levels, placing orders, receiving supplies, and maintaining organized storage areas.
- Coordinate routine service and maintenance for office equipment such as printers and photocopiers, including contacting service providers and arranging repairs when required.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail and courier shipments.
- Prepare bank deposits and assist with other routine administrative banking activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous administrative or office experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep records, documents, and routine activities well organized.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in the forestry or manufacturing industry would be an asset but is not required.
SALARY RANGE: We offer a competitive compensation package based on your skills and experience. The expected base salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 per year.
