Responsibilities
Prevent and investigate financial losses from theft and fraud by conducting safe shoplifting apprehensions, inspecting store security, and documenting serious incidents while preserving evidence. Coordinate with law enforcement and store leadership, communicate investigative outcomes, and promote asset protection awareness while prioritizing customer and associate safety.
Requirements
Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in investigations, loss prevention, retail operations, security, or related studies. Candidates should have familiarity with retail shrink prevention, strong analytical and communication skills, and meet Home Depot asset protection training and certification requirements; a security guard or private investigator license may be required where applicable.
