Original job description

Bloom Finance Company LTD is reimagining retirement for Canadians aged 55+, empowering homeowners to access the wealth they’ve built and turn it into financial flexibility, security, and choice - without giving up ownership or peace of mind. As a Canadian fintech, Bloom Finance Company enables clients to unlock up to 55% of their home’s value as tax-free cash through its reverse mortgage solution, combining transparency, education, and a customer-first approach to retirement financing.

Highlights

Headquarters: Toronto, Ontario
Providing reverse mortgage solution enabling access to up to 55% of home value (tax-free)
Banks are generalists - Bloom is the specialist for home-equity release, purpose-built for seniors - marketed towards Canadian homeowners aged 55+
Rising rates + fixed retirement income are making reverse mortgages a necessity, not a nice-to-have
In a volatile mortgage market, Bloom offers real demand, structure, and long-term upside
$400M in home equity extended to Canadian homeowners
Funding: Successfully raised a $7M Series A led by SixThirty Ventures LLC.
Award-winning leadership coming from high-growth companies including TouchBistro, BoxHub

About the Role

Bloom is hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive top-of-funnel pipeline generation and support Account Executives by identifying and qualifying high-quality opportunities.

This role is ideal for an energetic, self-starting sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both inbound and outbound engagement. You will play a critical role in building relationships with prospective clients and contributing to Bloom’s growth.

Drive top-of-funnel lead generation for Account Executives
Respond to inbound inquiries and proactively engage outbound prospects
Identify key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts
Build rapport and establish long-term relationships with prospective clients
Qualify opportunities and book meetings for the sales team
Maintain and update all sales activities, opportunities, and account information in CRM
Consistently achieve monthly quota of qualified opportunities

About You

You are an early-career sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by building relationships, generating opportunities, and contributing to a high-growth team.

1–2 years of relevant work experience in a sales or customer-facing role
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Bonus: You have a Level 1 Mortgage Agent License in Ontario or underwriting experience

The Extras that Matter

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage company with less structure than a traditional financial institution
Flexible and responsive, with occasional availability outside standard 9–5 hours (evenings/weekends as needed)
Hybrid work model: 2 days per week in-office (Tuesday & Thursday)
Office located in Liberty Village, Toronto

Compensation:

Base Salary: $50,000
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $76,400
