Account Director - Job Description

You're a relationship builder and growth driver, leading the charge on client partnerships that go beyond the brief and beyond expectations. This is a pivotal role for an account leader who thrives at the intersection of client ambition, creative excellence, and business results, who can help brands grow with confidence, clarity, and momentum. You own a portfolio of culturally ambitious clients, partnering closely with strategy, creative and production leadership to ensure the work is not only breakthrough, but brilliantly delivered. You're the connective tissue that keeps big ideas moving and clients coming back.

The Account Director will be responsible for the following:

Client Growth

Build long-term relationships with your clients by learning their business, adding value and building trust
Drive growth across your client portfolio through organic expansion and deepened scopes of work, with accountability to annual growth targets
Leverage our Earned by Design ethos to proactively identify opportunities to expand Mint's impact across experiences, content and campaigns
Show up as an integrated leader and thinker - able to speak to our services across experience, content and campaigns as well as navigate the agency departments through the creative process to deliver strong work

Client Leadership

Act as the day-to-day senior partner across your accounts, building strong relationships at multiple levels of the client organization
Elevate the level of strategic partnership and service, ensuring our work is consistently solving real business problems
Advocate for the creative process, educating clients on what's required to get to the best product and the best impact
Become and expert on your client’s business to build long-term relationships grounded in trust, clarity, and results

Integrated Delivery

Ensure work across your accounts is connected across strategy, creative, and production - nothing falling through the cracks
Champion an approach that is insight-led, culturally relevant, and results-driven
Keep teams resourced, aligned, and moving efficiently, supporting AI implementation across planning, development, execution, and reporting

Business, Operations and Finance

Contribute to portfolio-level P&L with accountability to monthly KPI results across your accounts
Lead SOW development and scope management for your clients, handling scope creep conversations with clarity and confidence
Contribute to forecasting, revenue tracking, and profitability across your portfolio

Team & Culture

Support and mentor account team members with clarity, accountability, and care
Partner with leadership and People & Culture on individual growth plans for account team members
Contribute to training and mentorship initiatives that upskill and inspire the broader account team
Show up as a culture carrier: celebrating wins, reinforcing standards, and setting the tone
