Original job description

Shape how guests discover, experience and connect with one of Canada's most distinctive hospitality portfolios.

At Pearle Hospitality, extraordinary hospitality begins long before a guest walks through our doors. Our award-winning portfolio spans boutique hotels, restaurants, spas, golf clubs and event venues, including The Pearle Hotel & Spa, Elora Mill, Ancaster Mill, Cambridge Mill, Spencer's at the Waterfront, Bardō Restaurants and Earth to Table: The Farm. Across every experience, we bring together exceptional food, thoughtful design, genuine service and distinctive storytelling.

As Pearle continues to grow, we are seeking an accomplished, guest-obsessed Senior Spa Manager to lead our luxury spa operations. Reporting to the Spa Director, you will serve as the operational heartbeat of our wellness experience - setting the department up for success over the next 12 months by curating exceptional guest journeys, leading practitioner and service teams, and driving performance across revenue, retail, and operational standards.

Join our talented team at The Pearle Hotel & Spa, Burlington's urban lakehouse where waterfront tranquility meets elevated wellness. Share your passion for health, relaxation, and exceptional guest care while helping create memorable spa experiences. Our approach is rooted in genuine hospitality and a belief in enjoying the good things in life with good people. Every member of our spa team plays an integral role in supporting our guests' journey to wellness, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Guest-Focused (75% In-Service Presence)

Guest Service Recovery & Journey: Actively manage the end-to-end guest service journey, handle escalated guest service recoveries, and execute thorough operational follow-ups.
Trend Analysis & Action: Identify guest concern trends and proactively action systemic changes to elevate service levels.
Asset & Facility Care: Oversee asset care, property maintenance, and system upkeep in collaboration with support departments to maintain pristine facility and cleanliness standards.
Health & Safety: Maintain active oversight of Health & Safety (H&S) protocols within the spa department.

People & Team Leadership

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Lead recruitment and candidate interviews; create and execute structured training and onboarding plans, conducting mandatory 6–8 week new hire check-ins to set team members up for long-term success.
Performance & Coaching: Conduct regular Team Member Performance Reviews (PRs) and structured 1:1 check-ins with Leads and Supervisors. Lead ongoing performance management authentically and transparently.
Culture & Communication: Plan and facilitate engaging team meetings and workshops, fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and high engagement. Ensure seamless communication of operational updates across supporting departments.
Scheduling Oversight: Perform scheduling revisions and final approvals to align staffing efficiency with operational demand.

Financial & Revenue Ownership (25% Administrative Focus)

Revenue Strategy: Direct day-to-day operations and treatment yield strategies to meet or exceed budgeted financial targets.
COGS & Inventory Management: Manage Front-of-House (FOH) Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and retail sales, while overseeing inventory audit submissions to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
Menu Execution & Compliance: Support the spa menu change process and operational logistics. Ensure all Smart Serve requirements meet AGCO/regulatory standards, are kept up-to-date, and are properly filed on record.

What You Bring

Experience: 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a luxury hotel/resort spa, high-volume premium day spa, or wellness facility.
Financial Acumen: Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience in revenue generation, treatment yield management, labor optimization, and retail COGS control.
Team Leadership: Proven track record of recruiting, onboarding, and developing high-performing practitioner teams (RMTs, Estheticians) and service staff.
Leadership Frameworks: Experience working within structured leadership frameworks, managing 1:1 check-ins, performance reviews, and operational workshops.
Technical Systems: Deep familiarity with spa scheduling and PMS platforms (e.g., ResortSuite, SpaSoft, Booker) and labor management software.
Certifications & Education: Valid Smart Serve Certification. Bachelor’s degree in Business/Hospitality Administration, or a Degree/Diploma in Spa Management is considered a strong asset.

Pearle’s Commitment to You

Compensation: Competitive salary + performance incentives.
Benefits: Co-paid health, dental, and wellness benefits for permanent team members (after 3 months).
Pearle Perks: Generous discounts across all Pearle Hospitality restaurants, hotels, and spas.
Marriott Discounts: Marriott global travel discounts.
Growth & Culture: Ongoing professional development, executive leadership coaching, and an inspiring, collaborative work culture on the Burlington waterfront.

This position is open to candidates based in Canada who are legally authorized to work in Canada and able to commute to Burlington, Ontario. Please note that Pearle Hospitality is unable to provide employment sponsorship or support work permit applications for this position. The salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 annually. This is the pay range for this position that the company reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on several factors, such as experience, location, and education.
