Original job description

Business Development Representative

Ready to Take Your Career to the Next Level?

If you're an ambitious professional who loves the thrill of the chase, enjoys speaking with decision-makers, and wants your earning potential to reflect your performance, this could be the opportunity for you!

Our client is a globally well-established and award-winning professional services organisation supporting businesses across Canada. They are expanding their sales team and are looking for confident, driven Business Development Representatives who want to build a successful career in a high-energy sales environment.

This is a 5-days-in-office role, based in a beautiful downtown Toronto office conveniently located within walking distance of both Union Station and King Station.

The goal of the role is simple: get prospective clients curious about the company's solutions, have engaging conversations about their business needs, and book qualified demos with the sales team. You'll be speaking with business owners and decision-makers, asking the right questions, creating interest, and getting prospects excited enough to take the next step.

What You Can Expect

$50,000 base salary + Uncapped commission, with realistic first-year OTE of $75,000–$100,000+!
Comprehensive benefits package
3 weeks' vacation, increasing with tenure
Birthday day off
World-class structured training and ongoing sales coaching
Clear opportunities for career progression
A great working culture with a "work hard, play harder" mentality
A collaborative team environment where success is recognised and celebrated
Beautiful downtown Toronto office
Convenient location within walking distance of Union Station and King Station

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for generating new business and creating opportunities with business owners and senior decision-makers.

Your day-to-day will include:

Making outbound calls to prospective customers
Connecting with business owners and key decision-makers
Building rapport and having consultative sales conversations
Asking the right questions to uncover business needs and challenges
Overcoming objections and confidently communicating value
Qualifying prospects and booking meetings for the sales team
Managing follow-ups and maintaining an active sales pipeline
Consistently working toward and exceeding activity and sales targets
Working closely with the wider sales team to maximise opportunities
Using coaching, feedback, and performance data to continuously improve

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is hungry to succeed and isn't afraid to pick up the phone.

You'll ideally have:

1 year of outbound B2B sales experience (Open to candidates from hospitality or retail background)
Drive, hunger, and willingness to succeed in sales
Experience working toward sales targets or measurable KPIs
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Confidence speaking with business owners and senior decision-makers
A competitive and target-driven mindset
Resilience and persistence when faced with rejection
Strong organisation and follow-up skills
A coachable attitude and genuine desire to improve
The motivation to earn through performance

Why This Opportunity?

You'll be joining a sales team that combines strong earning potential, structured development, and a genuinely social team culture.

Whether you're looking to increase your earning potential, sharpen your sales skills, or take the next step toward a long-term career in sales, this role offers the opportunity to learn, earn, and progress.

If you're ambitious, competitive, and ready to make your mark, we want to hear from you!
