Role Description The SAP RTR (Record to Report) professional will be responsible for supporting end-to-end RTR processes within SAP, including general ledger, financial closing, and reporting activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing business requirements, configuring and optimizing SAP FICO RTR modules, managing master data related to finance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information. The role involves consulting with business stakeholders to improve processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices in alignment with organizational goals. This is a contract role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, with a hybrid work arrangement that combines on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. The SAP RTR professional will also contribute to documentation, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement of finance-related systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Business Process understanding, with experience mapping, optimizing, and documenting end-to-end Record to Report processes.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify root causes of issues, and recommend data-driven solutions.
• Candidates should possess Consulting capabilities, including stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and presenting recommendations to business and IT teams.
• Candidates should possess hands-on expertise in SAP FICO, particularly in RTR-related functionalities such as general ledger, closing, and reporting.
• Candidates should possess Master Data management skills, with experience maintaining and governing finance-related master data in SAP.
• Relevant qualifications include a degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in SAP FICO or related modules, and familiarity with Canadian accounting and reporting standards, are beneficial.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in the Greater Toronto Area, strong communication skills, and prior experience in contract or consulting roles are advantageous.
