Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on trucks and trailers, identifying mechanical issues and recommending solutions.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, including brakes, suspension, driveline, electrical systems, and refrigeration units (where applicable).
- Use TMT maintenance software to log repairs, service tasks, and parts used, ensuring accurate, up-to-date maintenance records.
- Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are stored and maintained appropriately.
- Reinforce safety protocols and assist in onboarding and orienting new technicians to company procedures and expectations.
- Collaborate with drivers and operations teams to identify recurring mechanical issues and propose preventative strategies.
- Stay current with industry practices, emerging technologies, and OEM service updates.
- Follow all company policies regarding health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Licensed Truck and Trailer Mechanic (Red Seal Certification preferred or applicable provincial certification).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty truck and trailer repair; 2+ years in a supervisory or lead technician role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools.
- Valid driver’s licence (Class 5 required; Class 1 or 3 considered an asset).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and lead a high-performing shop team.

Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair trucks and trailers, while recording repairs, service tasks, and parts in TMT maintenance software. Promote a safety-first shop, mentor technicians, and coordinate with drivers and operations to address recurring issues and reduce downtime.
Requirements
Requires a licensed Truck and Trailer Mechanic, with Red Seal certification preferred, and at least five years of heavy-duty truck and trailer repair experience. A minimum of two years in a supervisory or lead technician role is preferred, along with strong systems knowledge, diagnostic skills, leadership ability, and a valid Class 5 driver's licence.
