Role Description This part-time Tailor role is an on-site position based in Toronto, ON. The Tailor will perform day-to-day tasks such as measuring and fitting clients, altering and repairing garments, and constructing or modifying clothing items as requested. Responsibilities include consulting with customers about their needs, advising on alteration options, and ensuring work meets quality and timing expectations. The role also involves handling basic garment care, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and collaborating with other team members to support smooth shop operations.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Tailoring and Dressmaking skills for alterations, repairs, and custom work.
• Candidates should possess accurate Fitting skills to take measurements and adjust garments for comfort and style.
• Candidates should possess effective Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally with clients and understand their needs.
• Attention to detail and manual dexterity for hand and machine sewing.
• Experience working in a tailoring, alterations, or garment care environment is an asset.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle light to moderate physical tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple orders with appropriate prioritization.
