Client Service Associate

Location: Calgary, AB

About the Opportunity

Our client is an established, independent wealth management firm in Calgary providing comprehensive investment and financial planning solutions to high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and professionals.

They are looking to add a Client Service Associate to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented financial services professional who enjoys working closely with clients and advisors and wants to build a long-term career within an independent wealth management environment.

The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering a high level of client service while supporting the advisory team with the day-to-day administration and execution of client needs.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing responsive and professional service
Support Advisors with day-to-day client service and administrative requirements
Prepare and process account opening, transfers, deposits, withdrawals and other client documentation
Coordinate client requests and follow up to ensure timely resolution
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
Assist with investment account administration and transaction processing
Coordinate client meetings, appointments and follow-ups
Prepare reports, correspondence, presentations and other client materials
Liaise with custodians, investment dealers, financial institutions and other external partners
Assist with compliance-related documentation and ensure files remain current
Support client onboarding and account maintenance processes
Identify opportunities to improve the client experience and internal processes
Work collaboratively with Advisors and other members of the team to ensure a seamless client experience

What We're Looking For

2+ years of experience in financial services, wealth management, banking, or a related environment
Previous experience supporting Financial Advisors, Portfolio Managers or Wealth Management teams is preferred
Strong understanding of investment accounts, financial services administration and client documentation
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong client service mindset and professional presence
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
Experience with CRM and/or portfolio management systems is an asset
Canadian securities or financial services credentials are an asset

The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, proactive and client-focused, with the ability to anticipate what advisors and clients need before being asked.

You are comfortable taking ownership of administrative processes, communicating directly with high-net-worth clients, and working as part of a close-knit advisory team. You take pride in accuracy and follow-through and are looking for an opportunity to grow with an independent wealth management firm.
