On behalf of our client, Remember When HealthCare, we are looking for a Scheduling Lead to join their growing team in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

The Opportunity:

A reliable schedule is essential to consistent care. When a shift changes or a staffing challenge arises, clients, families, facilities, and employees need clear communication and a team that can respond quickly. As Scheduling Lead, you will guide a team of five Care Schedulers and oversee the day-to-day coordination of scheduling for private clients and facilities. Reporting to the Care Manager, you'll help the team stay ahead of coverage needs, resolve scheduling challenges, and ensure clients continue receiving dependable service.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people while still being involved in the day-to-day work. You'll be the person the scheduling team can turn to when challenges arise, while also looking at the bigger picture and identifying ways to make scheduling more efficient and effective as the organization continues to grow.

The Ideal Candidate:

You have experience in scheduling, healthcare, home care, staffing, or another fast-moving operational environment and understand how quickly priorities can change. You're organized, calm under pressure, and comfortable making thoughtful decisions when several things need attention at once. You communicate clearly, follow through on details, and aren't afraid to address concerns directly when needed.

You're also someone who enjoys supporting a team. Previous leadership or supervisory experience is an asset, but equally important is your ability to coach others, set clear expectations, solve problems, and help people work effectively together.

Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and support a team of five Care Schedulers, setting clear expectations and helping team members manage their workload

Oversee day-to-day schedules for private clients and facilities, ensuring open shifts, call-ins, cancellations, and urgent coverage needs are addressed promptly

Support complex staffing decisions, matching employees to client needs while maintaining continuity of care whenever possible

Ensure scheduling changes are communicated clearly and promptly to clients, families, facilities, employees, and internal teams

Respond to escalated scheduling concerns and involve the Care Manager or clinical leadership when service or safety may be affected

Monitor scheduling trends, including unfilled shifts, cancellations, overtime, and recurring staffing gaps

Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes, coverage, and overall efficiency

Work closely with the Care Manager and Hiring Team to identify current and upcoming staffing needs

Support the Scheduling Team in problem-solving and managing competing priorities

Help maintain consistent scheduling practices and service standards across the organization

Requirements

Previous experience in scheduling, healthcare, home care, staffing, workforce coordination, or a similar operational environment

Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience considered an asset

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment when responding to changing or urgent situations

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Comfortable coaching team members, providing direction, and addressing concerns when necessary

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate scheduling and communication

Confidence using scheduling software and other technology-based systems

Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, employees, facilities, and internal teams

Ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment

Benefits

$68,000 annual salary, dependent on experience
