About Thea
Thea is building AI-native infrastructure for private mortgages. We help brokers turn emails and documents into qualified, packaged deals and give lenders the tools to evaluate opportunities and manage their operations. We’re backed by Antler and other investors.
We’re hiring a founding engineer to work directly with the founders and help shape both the product and the company. You’ll have meaningful ownership over what we build, how we build it, and the experience we deliver to customers.
What you’ll do
- Own features from idea through launch across our platform and AI workflows.
- Work closely with the founders and customers to decide what to build next.
- Make technical decisions that balance shipping quickly with building reliable software.
- Help establish our engineering culture and grow the team.
What we’re looking for
- Experience building and shipping products people actually use.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to work across the product.
- Good product judgment, you care about solving the customer’s problem.
- Comfort with ambiguity, a bias toward action, and a high standard for your work.
- Interest in applied AI and tackling complex, real-world workflows.
- Fintech or mortgage experience is a plus.
