Original job description

Role: AI Program Manager

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Duration: Contract

Skills:

10 to 15 years of experience in program or delivery management within large-scale technology transformation, financial services, or enterprise change programs.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to hold direct, candid conversations with program teams and technical leads, and to build credibility quickly across a large, distributed portfolio.
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent programs, prioritizing effectively and maintaining accurate situational awareness across a large and varied portfolio.
Comfort operating independently in a vendor or staff augmentation capacity, able to take direction from an internal leader and represent the workstream credibly in day-to-day interactions.
Financial services or large regulated enterprise experience, with an understanding of how program delivery operates inside formal governance structures.
Practical understanding of Agile, SDLC, or technology delivery methodologies, sufficient to have credible conversations with technical program teams.

Nice to Have

Direct experience with AI-Native SDLC, AI-assisted development tooling, or leading technology transformation programs that embed AI into delivery workflows.
Prior experience working in a vendor delivery model supporting a major financial institution.
Change management experience, particularly supporting adoption of new ways of working across program teams.

Responsibilities:

Stakeholder & Program Conversations

Serve as the primary working-level point of contact for AI-DLC Leads and program teams across the Live Programs portfolio, holding regular check-ins to understand progress, blockers, and support needs.
Run structured conversations with program teams to validate readiness across key dimensions: orchestrator embedment, scope definition, team allocation, training, tooling access, baseline capture, and sponsor engagement.
Build trusted working relationships with program stakeholders so that issues surface early rather than at the point of crisis.

Execution Support Across the Portfolio

Track execution progress across all active programs in the portfolio, maintaining visibility into what is on track, what is at risk, and what needs intervention.
Support program teams in resolving day-to-day delivery obstacles, connecting them with the right resources, tooling, or guidance to keep momentum.
Work with the Lead Operations role to ensure program status is accurately reflected in the workstream's governance and reporting artifacts.

Escalation Triage & Resolution

Triage issues raised by program teams, resolving what can be handled at the working level and escalating only what genuinely requires the Senior Director's involvement.
Maintain a clear escalation trail so that when an issue does reach the Senior Director, it comes with full context and a recommended path forward.
Follow up on escalated items to confirm resolution and close the loop with the originating program team.

Coordination with AI-DLC Leads & Orchestrators

Act as the connective tissue between the Live Programs pod and the network of AI-DLC Leads and orchestrators embedded in individual programs.
Coordinate cross-program dependencies, surfacing conflicts or resourcing gaps that affect multiple programs at once.
Support onboarding of new programs into the workstream as cohorts scale, ensuring new teams understand governance expectations and reporting cadence from day one.
