Position: Process Engineer with Payment Domain Exp
Location: Toronto, On – Hybrid
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer with strong Banking and Payments domain expertise to lead end-to-end process transformation and operational excellence initiatives within a Payments organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of payment operations, process optimization methodologies, and continuous improvement frameworks to drive efficiency, risk reduction, and automation across business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead process transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across Payments Operations.
- Analyze current-state processes and identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and risk mitigation.
- Design and implement future-state processes aligned with business objectives.
- Develop detailed process maps, value stream maps, KPIs, and operational excellence roadmaps.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Business, Technology, Operations, Compliance, and Risk teams to drive process improvements.
- Support enterprise-wide operational excellence and process standardization initiatives.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and process redesign sessions.
- Ensure process changes comply with regulatory and banking standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of overall experience with 7+ years in Process Engineering or Business Process Transformation.
- Strong Banking and Financial Services experience.
- Deep knowledge of Payments Domain including:
- High Value Payments (HVP)
- Low Value Payments (LVP)
- SWIFT Messaging
- ISO 20022
- Foreign Exchange (FX) Processing
- Liquidity Management
- Payment Operations & Risk Management
- Experience with:
- Lean
- Six Sigma
- Lean Six Sigma
- DFSS (Design for Six Sigma)
- Business Process Reengineering (BPR)
- Strong expertise in process mapping, process redesign, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
