The Opportunity

We’re looking for a curious, culturally plugged-in Strategist to join our Strategy team. This role is for someone who loves understanding people, brands, culture and behaviour, and turning those insights into clear, inspiring strategic direction.

As a Strategist, you’ll develop strategies across digital, experiential, brand, social and integrated projects, working closely with creative, account, media, production, UX and technology teams. You’ll dig into audiences and culture, identify the tension or opportunity at the heart of a brief, and help create a clear strategic foundation for the work that follows.

You’ll be comfortable taking ownership of defined projects and workstreams, while collaborating with senior strategists on larger, more complex engagements. We’re looking for someone who can move beyond gathering information to form a point of view, connect the dots and articulate what it means for the work.

\nWhat You’ll Be Doing

Develop brand, campaign, digital, experiential and integrated strategies across a range of client briefs.
Take ownership of strategic workstreams, from initial research and discovery through to recommendations and final presentations.
Conduct and synthesize audience, cultural, category, competitor and trend research.
Turn research, data and observations into clear insights and actionable strategic opportunities.
Identify the audience tension, behaviour or cultural opportunity that can unlock strong creative thinking.
Develop creative briefs, strategic narratives, presentations, POVs, audience frameworks and other client deliverables.
Partner closely with creative teams to ensure strategic thinking translates into compelling ideas and experiences.
Collaborate across creative, account, media, production, UX, technology and social teams to build connected thinking.
Stay close to culture, emerging behaviours, platforms and technology, identifying what changes actually matter for brands.
Review campaign, digital and social performance to identify learnings that can inform future strategy.
Contribute strategic thinking to new business pitches and organic growth opportunities.
Participate in and help facilitate client workshops, discovery sessions and brainstorms.
Present strategic thinking and recommendations to clients with clarity and confidence.
Bring a clear point of view to the work while remaining open to collaboration, feedback and iteration.

What You’ll Bring

Approximately 3–5 years of experience in strategy, advertising, marketing, brand, digital, social, research or a related discipline. Agency experience is preferred.
Experience developing strategy from brief through to recommendation, with examples of work you can talk us through.
Strong research and synthesis skills, with the ability to distinguish an interesting observation from a meaningful insight.
An understanding of audiences, culture and consumer behaviour, and how they can inform creative work.
A strong understanding of the digital landscape and how brands connect with audiences across different touchpoints.
The ability to take complex or ambiguous problems and create clarity and direction.
Strong storytelling skills and experience building clear, compelling strategic presentations.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with some experience presenting work to clients or senior internal stakeholders.
Comfort working with both qualitative and quantitative information.
Strong creative instincts and an understanding of what makes ideas resonate with audiences.
The ability to work independently on defined projects while knowing when to bring in senior support.
Strong collaboration skills and experience working across different disciplines.
Excellent attention to detail, organization and time management.
Familiarity with tools such as Google Trends, social listening platforms, audience research tools and analytics platforms is an asset.
Curiosity, adaptability and a desire to continue developing your strategic craft.

$70,000 - $80,000 a year

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as internal equity, candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role. If your compensation expectations fall outside of this range, we still welcome your application.
