Hiring: Senior Technology Architect – Oracle Database & Middleware
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote, as specified in the assignment details)
We are looking for a Senior Technology Architect with extensive experience in enterprise database administration, middleware architecture, and infrastructure management.
🔹 Oracle Database: 10+ years of experience with Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c, Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Flashback, database migration, and performance tuning.
🔹 IBM Middleware: Strong hands-on experience with IBM TRIRIGA 3.7.x/10.7.x, WebSphere, and IBM HTTP Server (IHS), including installation, configuration, cloning, and upgrades.
🔹 Oracle Data Integrator (ODI): Expertise in ODI 12.x installation, administration, upgrades, migrations, and cloning.
🔹 SQL Server & Reporting: Experience with SQL Server 2016+ and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) implementation.
🔹 Infrastructure & OS: Strong experience with Windows Server, Linux, Solaris, Unix administration, infrastructure architecture, capacity planning, patching, and deployments.
🔹 Database Operations: Expertise in database backup and recovery, security, access management, clustering, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
🔹 Solution Architecture: Proven experience designing enterprise-level database and middleware solutions, system integrations, and large-scale data warehouse environments.
🔹 Additional Skills: Experience with Hadoop installation and configuration, Single Sign-On (SSO), IAM modernization, and enterprise infrastructure support.
🔹 Documentation & Delivery: Ability to prepare technical architecture documents, build books, support release management, and collaborate with multiple technical and business stakeholders.
Public-sector experience and the ability to support complex enterprise environments are highly desirable.

Responsibilities
Design and support enterprise database and middleware architectures, including Oracle databases, IBM middleware, ODI, SQL Server, and large-scale data warehouse environments. Manage installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, security, backup and recovery, performance, infrastructure operations, documentation, and release support.
Requirements
Requires 10+ years of Oracle database experience, including Oracle 11g, 12c, and 19c, RAC, Data Guard, migration, and performance tuning. Candidates should also have hands-on IBM middleware and ODI experience, SQL Server and SSRS knowledge, Windows and Unix-like systems administration, and experience designing and supporting complex enterprise environments.
