Junior Textile Product & Sampling Coordinator

Threadcount Textile & Design | Toronto, ON | Full-Time, In-Person

Love beautiful fabrics? Have an eye for colour and detail, a talent for organization, and strong digital skills? This could be your perfect introduction to the textile industry.

About Threadcount

Threadcount Textile & Design is a boutique textile house supplying luxury fabrics to interior designers and hospitality projects across North America.

We're looking for a creative, tech-savvy and exceptionally detail-oriented individual to join our team.

This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to learn the textile industry from the ground up, combining hands-on sampling, sales support, product coordination and digital organization.

You'll work closely with our Creative Director and Sales Manager, gaining experience in textile sampling, sales operations, product development and collection launches.

We're a small, fast-moving team, so we're looking for someone who works efficiently, learns new technology quickly and takes pride in getting every detail right.

What You'll Do

Sampling & Sales Support

  • Prepare and coordinate fabric sample kits, collection launches and presentations for our in-house sales team, outside representatives and agencies.
  • Support daily sample requests, ensuring materials are prepared accurately and delivered on schedule.
  • Assemble fabric chain sets, ring sets, road kits and other presentation materials for designers and sales representatives.
  • Coordinate the distribution of new collections and sample materials to our sales team.
  • Maintain accurate digital sample inventory records, updating quantities, product information and tracking details.
  • Help keep our sample inventory and memo room organized, replenished and running efficiently.
  • Work closely with our sales team to prioritize requests and support an exceptional client experience.

Product Development & Collection Launches

  • Assist in coordinating new textile collections from initial sampling through launch.
  • Work with fabricators to prepare swatches, labels, sample displays and collection materials.
  • Create and organize swatch sheets, colour rotations, product labels and presentation layouts using Canva or Illustrator.
  • Inspect and scan incoming fabrics, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain accurate product information, technical sheets, spreadsheets and development trackers.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to keep projects moving.

Digital Organization & Data Accuracy

  • Enter, update and maintain product and sample information quickly and accurately across spreadsheets and digital platforms.
  • Use Excel and Google Sheets to organize, filter, review and manage detailed product data.
  • Maintain consistent product codes, naming conventions and records across systems.
  • Identify data errors, missing information and inconsistencies before they create downstream issues.
  • Keep shared digital files, product resources and documentation structured, current and easy to access.
  • Learn new software and digital workflows quickly, helping improve efficiency as our systems evolve.
Who You Are
  • A recent graduate, early-career candidate or someone looking to build a career in textiles, fashion, interiors or material design.
  • Passionate about fabrics, colours, textures and design.
  • Tech-savvy and digitally confident: comfortable navigating multiple software platforms, managing digital files and learning new systems independently.
  • Strong in Excel and Google Sheets: proficient with data entry, sorting, filtering, formulas and organizing large amounts of information.
  • Fast and accurate with data: efficient with computer-based tasks, meticulous about details and able to maintain accuracy while managing a high volume of information.
  • Highly organized, resourceful and able to manage several priorities without losing track of the details.
  • Familiar with Canva or Adobe Illustrator, or excited to develop your skills.
  • Comfortable balancing creative, administrative and hands-on tasks.
  • A proactive communicator who enjoys working with a team.
  • Curious, accountable and eager to learn.

No previous textile industry experience required. However, strong computer skills, spreadsheet proficiency and attention to detail are essential.

Bonus Points
  • Experience with textiles, interiors or product development.
  • Familiarity with Shopify, Salesforce, Asana or inventory management systems.
  • Experience with product photography, fabric scanning or digital asset management.
Why Join Threadcount?
  • Learn how luxury textile collections are developed, sampled and brought to market.
  • Receive hands-on training and mentorship from our Creative Director and Sales Manager.
  • Work directly with beautiful materials, international collections and design professionals.
  • Gain valuable exposure to both the creative and operational sides of a growing textile company.
  • Develop your skills with opportunities to grow into product development and other areas of the business.
