Thrive Initiative is a new Canadian not-for-profit organization focused on helping people navigate the changing world of work shaped by AI and robotics. Role Description

The Marketing Coordinator is a part-time, hybrid role based in the Greater Kitchener–Cambridge–Waterloo Metropolitan Area, with most work done from home and some meetings in-person.

In this role, the coordinator will support development of the marketing function within Thrive, including overseeing website development, and setting up day-to-day marketing activities such as drafting and editing marketing content, preparing social media posts, and contributing to email campaigns.

The position involves coordinating small events and workshops, assisting with logistics, and helping ensure consistent branding across materials and channels.

The Marketing Coordinator will also track basic campaign metrics, organize marketing assets, and establish clear communication with program participants and stakeholders.

Because Thrive Initiative is a new organization, your work will be constantly evolving based on collaboration between yourself and the founder. You will have a big part in determining how the organization is represented in the communities we serve.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly to diverse audiences.
Ability to support Sales-related activities such as outreach to partners, promoting programs, and nurturing participant interest.
Experience with event or workshop planning, including organizing logistics, coordinating vendors or venues, and supporting attendee communications.
Proficient writing skills for marketing copy, social media, email campaigns, and participant-facing materials.
Solid project management to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and coordinate multiple marketing initiatives.
Familiarity with digital marketing tools (e.g., social media platforms, email marketing software, basic analytics) is beneficial.
Comfort working in a mission-driven, not-for-profit environment with a focus on inclusion and community impact.
Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, business, or a related field is an asset.
