The bigger picture 

We’re looking for a motivated individual who is committed to fostering growth and expertise to come on board as our Business Learning Specialist. In this role, you will ensure that the learning and development needs are met for all business banking-related roles. Your focus will be on equipping our Commercial, Agriculture and Small Business banking teams, with the knowledge and skills related to business banking policies, procedures, systems, projects, and risk management.

How you’ll be spending your time 

Assess Learning Needs 

• Assessing learning needs through training requests, stakeholder conversations, and performance insights. 
• Creating learning objectives and evaluation strategies that connect learning to business impact, behaviours, and skill development. 
• Identifying sales and risk performance gaps and partnering with stakeholders, including Sales Enablement, to support technical and sales conversation training. 

Learning Lifecycle 

• Designing, developing, delivering, and maintaining learning paths for Conexus Business Support and Retail Small Business Advisor roles. 
• Creating blended learning plans and content using a variety of learning methods and delivery approaches. 
• Supporting learning related to business banking lending, deposits, day-to-day banking, cash management, credit insurance, products, and services. 
• Creating communication plans, implementing online learning, and facilitating training content. 

Evaluate and Maintain Training Effectiveness 

• Evaluating training effectiveness against learning objectives, learner feedback, business outcomes, and ROI. 
• Updating learning objectives, training materials, e-learning content, and learning paths to keep content current and aligned to strategy and performance goals.

The experience you bring 

• 5+ years of Agricultural and Commercial advisor experience working with a progressively challenging business portfolio  
• In-depth Agricultural, Commercial, and Small Business lending, financial statement analysis, products and services, and sales knowledge  
• Learning design & facilitation experience 
• Learning Management Systems Experience and Knowledge 
• Expert knowledge in virtual and in-person facilitation and training technologies 
• E-learning Software Experience and Design and content creation experience 

Salary Range:

$89,250 - $119,000 with 13% Short Term Incentive Target
