Underground Haul Truck & Scoop Operators

Thyssen Mining Construction of Canada is a recognized leader in the underground mine construction industry. We are seeking experienced Underground Haul Truck & Scoop Operators to safely operate mobile equipment in support of underground mining operations. Candidates must demonstrate strong safety awareness, equipment knowledge, teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently in demanding underground conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate underground haul trucks and/or scoop trams (LHDs) safely and efficiently.
• Haul ore, waste, backfill and other materials between designated locations.
• Muck, load trucks and move materials as required.
• Complete pre-operational equipment inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Maintain awareness of underground traffic, blind spots, equipment and personnel.
• Follow all company and site safety procedures.
• Maintain clear radio communication with supervisors and crew members.
• Complete required operator logs and production records.
• Assist with general underground duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous underground mining experience.
• Experience operating haul trucks and/or scoop trams/LHDs.
• Valid underground mining certifications/modules applicable to the work location.
• Strong safety record and situational awareness.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in underground conditions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ontario Underground Common Core required for Ontario positions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Prior underground mining experience.
• Available to work varied work schedules.
• This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an underground mine environment.
