Original job description

Ready to make your next big professional move? Join us on our journey to achieve our big dream of building the most loved restaurant brands in the world.

Restaurant Brands International Inc. is one of the world's largest quick service restaurant companies with nearly $49 billion in annual system-wide sales and over 33,000 restaurants in more than 120 countries and territories.

RBI owns four of the world's most prominent and iconic quick service restaurant brands – TIM HORTONS®, BURGER KING®, POPEYES®, and FIREHOUSE SUBS®. These independently operated brands have been serving their respective guests, franchisees and communities for decades. Through its Restaurant Brands for Good framework, RBI is improving sustainable outcomes related to its food, the planet, and people and communities.

RBI is committed to growing the TIM HORTONS®, BURGER KING®, POPEYES® and FIREHOUSE SUBS® brands by leveraging their respective core values, employee and franchisee relationships, and long track records of community support. Each brand benefits from the global scale and shared best practices that come from ownership by Restaurant Brands International Inc.

The Sr. Manager, Restaurant Technology Deployment & Vendor Management is responsible for leading the successful execution of strategic restaurant technology programs with a primary focus on Point-of-Sale (POS) transformation and enterprise deployments across Tim Hortons Canada and the United States. This role provides end-to-end ownership of program execution, vendor governance, commercial performance, deployment readiness, and cross-functional delivery.

The Senior Manager serves as the primary business owner for strategic technology partners, ensuring vendors consistently meet their commitments on cost, quality, and schedule. Working closely with Restaurant Operations, Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, and external partners, this leader drives scalable deployment programs that improve restaurant operations and franchisee experience. This role reports into Restaurant Technology leadership and works daily with senior stakeholders across Operations, Finance, and Procurement, making strong executive communication skills essential.

RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates will be expected to work onsite 5 days per week out of our office in Toronto, ON.

What You'll Cook Up

Lead end-to-end execution of large-scale restaurant technology deployment programs, with a focus on POS modernization, from pilot through rollout and operational transition.
Develop and manage integrated program roadmaps, deployment schedules, budgets, milestones, risks, and dependencies to ensure successful execution.
Oversee multi-site restaurant deployments, coordinating readiness across Operations, Field Technology, Supply Chain, Franchisees, and implementation partners while minimizing operational disruption.
Manage strategic relationships with technology vendors, deployment partners, hardware suppliers, and system integrators, driving accountability and performance.
Establish vendor governance frameworks, including KPIs, SLAs, scorecards, business reviews, and escalation processes to ensure contractual and operational expectations are met.
Partner with Procurement and Legal on vendor negotiations, contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), renewals, and performance management.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Operations, and Support teams to align technical requirements, deployment readiness, and business priorities.
Lead program governance, executive reporting, and steering committee updates, communicating progress, risks, mitigation plans, and key decisions.
Manage program financials, including budgets, forecasts, vendor spend, invoices, and cost optimization opportunities.
Monitor deployment performance, including rollout velocity, installation quality, vendor performance, restaurant readiness, and operational outcomes.
Drive continuous improvement by standardizing deployment processes, resolving execution challenges, and implementing lessons learned across future programs.

What Ingredients You'll Bring

6+ years of experience leading enterprise technology deployment programs, including large-scale, multi-site implementations.
5+ years of experience managing strategic technology vendors, third-party delivery partners, and complex contractual relationships.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Demonstrated success delivering technology rollouts in restaurant, retail, hospitality, or franchise environments.
Strong understanding of POS platforms, payment technologies, and restaurant technology ecosystems, including KDS, back-office systems, networking, and hardware.
Proven experience managing complex program budgets, vendor contracts, SOWs, forecasting, and financial performance.
Strong vendor governance and negotiation skills, with experience managing SLAs, performance metrics, escalations, and corrective actions.
Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to influence teams without direct authority.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with project and portfolio management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, or Microsoft Project.
Familiarity with franchise operating models and certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or Agile are considered a plus.

This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Base salary range of $130,000 – $160,000 CAD. Base salary for this position may vary based on relevant factors such as experience, education, location, and skills. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the incentive program, based on individual and company performance metrics. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation in the form of equity grants pursuant to the Company’s long-term incentive plan.
