Original job description

Empowering Today, Shaping Tomorrow

We deliver complex building and infrastructure projects that drive excellence from inception to completion. Our mission is to empower our clients and teams to achieve unparalleled success by providing tailored, innovative consulting services - ensuring every project is executed with precision and impact.

But this work is about more than delivering projects - it’s about unlocking potential and creating lasting change. We foster an environment where people are supported, celebrated, and empowered to grow, learn, and achieve. Our culture fuels imagination, creativity, and bold thinking, and we see that reflected in both our work and the meaningful impact it has on the built environments we help shape.

Join us in shaping the future of capital project delivery.

The Role

This is a contract opportunity based in Calgary, Alberta. As a Project Manager, you will guide buildings and facility projects from early planning and design through to construction, occupancy, and closeout. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, keeping projects on track across scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality while bringing together the many people and groups involved in delivering functional, compliant spaces.

This role suits an organized, adaptable project manager who is comfortable working across every stage of a project, from early planning through to handover.

What You’ll Do

Lead projects through each stage of delivery, from initiation and planning through implementation, occupancy, and closeout
Build and maintain the plans, schedules, and tracking tools that keep projects organized, including risk registers and communication strategies
Contribute to cost estimates and keep spending aligned with approved budgets
Assess project requirements and design packages to confirm they meet client needs and applicable codes, standards, and policies
Coordinate the selection and day-to-day management of consultants and contractors
Visit project sites to review progress and confirm work matches approved plans and quality expectations
Manage project security needs and the documentation that supports them
Partner with client groups to plan and carry out moves and relocations with minimal disruption
Keep clients, project partners, and internal teams informed and aligned, and lead project meetings and workshops
Deliver regular updates and briefing materials to senior leadership

What You’ll Bring

5+ years of project management experience, ideally on building, facility, or workplace projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality from start to finish
Working knowledge of design and construction documents, building codes, and procurement processes
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to produce clear project documentation, schedules, and reports
Clear, confident communication skills and comfort working with multidisciplinary teams in complex, fast-moving environments
A calm, steady approach under pressure, with the flexibility to adapt as priorities shift
A post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field
Must be eligible to obtain security clearance
Ability to travel within Western Canada as required

At Tiree, we believe careers should be as unique as the individuals who build them. That’s why we offer our employees the opportunity to carve out a career pathway tailored to their ambitions, supported by the right training, tools, and mentorship to help them succeed.

We appreciate you taking the time to apply and are committed to getting back to you in a timely manner and delivering an efficient and enjoyable interview process.

Note: Artificial Intelligence is not involved in the screening or selection of candidates. Those decisions are made entirely by real, actual humans. While we may use AI for small administrative tasks during the recruiting process, the evaluating and choosing of candidates is strictly human powered.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Be you.

We strive to create a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion where everyone at Tiree feels welcome, supported and celebrated. There is dynamism and pride in a community shaped by diverse voices, perspectives and lived experiences. We want to empower you to be you.

Our goal is to meet that standard of excellence in our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility and for our teams to reflect the wonderful diversity of the communities in which we live and work.

We are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workforce. As part of this commitment, we strive to provide a selection process that is accessible to all candidates. Please advise if you require any accommodations to ensure your equal participation.
