Original job description
We deliver complex infrastructure solutions that drive excellence from inception to completion. Our mission is to empower our clients and teams to achieve unparalleled success by providing tailored, innovative consulting services, ensuring every project is executed with precision and impact.
But infrastructure is more than just projects, it’s about unlocking potential and creating lasting change. We foster an environment where people are supported, celebrated, and empowered to grow, learn, and achieve. Our culture fuels imagination, creativity, and bold thinking, and we see that reflected in both our work and the meaningful impact it has on our shared environment.
As we continue to grow our presence in Calgary, we’re building relationships with individuals who can help us deliver the high standard we’re known for.
The Role
We’re particularly interested in connecting with senior-level professionals for anticipated municipal building project opportunities in Calgary. While specific project requirements may evolve, this type of work is generally expected to support the delivery of projects within active municipal environments, such as fire halls, police stations, recreation and event centres, libraries, civic facilities, administrative offices, and other municipal building assets. Prior experience delivering municipal projects is required.
Professionals in this space typically act as a trusted advisor to municipal clients, navigating complex stakeholder environments while supporting the delivery of projects that improve operational efficiency, building performance, and long-term asset resilience.
Please note: This opportunity is being offered as a consulting and/or fixed-term contract engagement and is not a permanent full-time employee position.
The Type of Work You’d Be Involved In
Depending On The Specific Engagement, This Could Include
- Leading and delivering projects within active municipal building environments, with strong outcomes across scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality
- Managing project delivery from planning through execution, with a focus on coordinating activities within occupied or operational municipal facilities
- Working closely with municipal stakeholders to ensure project activities align with operational needs and minimize disruption to public services
- Overseeing coordination of consultants and contractors, including design and construction partners
- Translating technical and project details into clear updates, recommendations, and reporting for clients and stakeholders
- Identifying and managing project risks, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety requirements, and municipal regulatory expectations
- Supporting governance, decision-making, and successful transition of upgraded or newly delivered spaces into operational use
If you bring experience like the following, we’d love to hear from you:
- 8–10+ years of project management experience, including direct experience delivering projects for a municipality
- Experience working on fire hall projects is considered an asset
- Demonstrated experience delivering municipal capital, infrastructure, or enabling projects such as renovations, retrofits, space reconfigurations, or building system upgrades
- Strong ability to manage end-to-end project delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder coordination
- Experience working within municipal approval and governance processes where operational continuity is critical
- Confident client-facing communicator with the ability to provide clear updates, recommendations, and guidance to municipal stakeholders
- Experience coordinating consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Calm, solutions-focused leadership style with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-impact environments
- Ability to work on-site at client and project sites across Calgary as required by project needs
