JOB PURPOSE

The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer relationships within an assigned territory or account base, combining technical product knowledge with consultative, relationship-driven sales. This role builds and maintains relationships with contractors, engineers, consultants, municipalities, and project stakeholders; supports product specification during the design phase; and manages the full sales cycle from prospecting through quoting, close, and account growth. This position acts as Titan's primary point of contact for its assigned territory or accounts, ensuring consistent, professional representation of the company throughout the customer relationship.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Territory & Account Growth

Build, promote, and strengthen the Titan brand and full product line across the assigned territory or account base.
Identify new client opportunities and develop new business, while maintaining and growing existing accounts.
Achieve an annual sales target as established for the territory or account base which is measured by revenue.
Serve as Titan's primary point of contact within the assigned territory or accounts, ensuring a high level of customer service.

Technical & Specification Support

Work closely with engineers, consultants, and project stakeholders to support and influence product specification during early design phases.
Maintain sufficient technical product knowledge to support customer conversations, meetings, quotes, and, where appropriate, technical presentations including Titan Talks – as part of building specification credibility with stakeholders.
Participate in Lunch and Learns and trade shows as appropriate, supporting broader company visibility and customer engagement efforts.
Review RFQs, technical drawings, and specifications to develop accurate proposals and quotes.

Sales Process & Relationship Management

Support projects throughout the full sales cycle, from early design and specification through tender and award.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with stakeholders.
Follow up with customers on orders, quotes, and services requested within established timelines.
Gather and communicate customer feedback, market intelligence, and competitive insights to internal teams.

Collaboration & Reporting

Collaborate closely with Inside Sales, CSR, and regional team members to support sales targets and strategic initiatives.
Report regularly to the Regional Manager on sales activity, territory or account development, and pipeline status.
Represent Titan professionally at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
Utilize CRM and other internal systems, as required, to track opportunities and maintain accurate client information.
Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma required; post‑secondary education in Business, Sales, Construction, or a related field is considered an asset.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or sales-related roles, preferably within construction, manufacturing, or technical product environments.
Demonstrated ability to support sales processes, including preparing quotes, managing RFQs, and coordinating with external sales teams.
Strong understanding of project‑based sales environments, including working with specifications, drawings, and customer requirements; ability to interpret technical documents is an asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience using CRM and ERP systems (e.g., HubSpot, NetSuite, or similar).
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to interpret technical drawings, RFQs, and specifications is considered an asset.
Experience supporting or influencing product specification with stakeholders is considered an asset.
Experience delivering technical presentations, training sessions, or programs such as Lunch & Learns is considered an asset.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Proven ability to manage multiple customer inquiries, quotes, and priorities simultaneously in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships with both internal teams and external clients.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in pricing, order entry, and documentation.
Highly organized, process‑driven, and capable of maintaining accurate records and consistent follow‑through.
Self‑motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving customer inquiries and internal coordination issues.
Commitment to continuous improvement, learning product knowledge, and supporting overall sales performance.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is open to candidates based near Leduc, AB.
This is a full‑time position with standard working hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Travel is an expected requirement of this role, and the ability to work extended or non‑standard hours may be required from time to time to support business needs, client engagements, or events.
