What You’ll Do

Design, configure, develop, test, deploy, and maintain solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
Translate business and process requirements into user stories, technical designs, configurations, scripts, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
Develop server-side and client-side components using JavaScript, including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and related platform capabilities.
Build workflow automation using Flow Designer, approvals, notifications, assignments, task routing, and reusable subflows.
Configure forms, tables, fields, views, related lists, catalog items, record producers, and workspace experiences in line with platform standards.
Develop and enhance capabilities for incident, major incident, problem, change, request, knowledge, service catalog, and configuration management, as applicable.
Partner with process owners to simplify workflows, reduce manual effort, improve controls, and increase adoption of standard platform functionality.
Support SLAs, assignment rules, approvals, notifications, templates, and process-specific business logic.
Help maintain consistent process definitions and avoid unnecessary customization through configuration-first design.
Design, develop, and support eBonding integrations for incident and request processes, including bi-directional ticket creation, field and status synchronization, comments, attachments, assignment updates, closure handling, error monitoring, reconciliation, and retry scenarios.
Develop and maintain approval flows for service requests and changes, including conditional, sequential, parallel, group, and delegated approvals, with appropriate reminders, escalations, rejection handling, and audit history.
Develop and support integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, import sets, transform maps, and scheduled data loads, as applicable.
Troubleshoot data exchange, authentication, mapping, and transaction issues across connected systems.
Support data migration, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and exception handling.
Apply appropriate controls for access, credentials, sensitive data, retention, and responsible platform use.
Implement and troubleshoot eBonding interfaces with external service management platforms using REST or SOAP APIs, including correlation identifiers, transformation logic, authentication, duplicate prevention, and integration-failure handling.
Understand CMDB concepts and relationships, including configuration items, classes, identification and reconciliation, data quality, dependencies, and the use of CI information within incident, request, and change processes.
Create unit test scenarios, support system and user acceptance testing, document results, and resolve defects.
Promote changes through controlled environments using update sets or approved application deployment methods.
Participate in code reviews, release planning, production validation, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis.
Monitor solution performance, scheduled jobs, integrations, errors, and platform health indicators relevant to owned capabilities.
Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, support procedures, release notes, and knowledge articles.
Collaborate across SMO, ServiceNow platform teams, architects, security teams, application teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
Explain technical options, dependencies, risks, assumptions, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Balance multiple priorities, estimate effort, communicate progress, and escalate risks or blockers in a timely manner.
Identify opportunities to improve platform performance, development standards, automation reuse, and team effectiveness.
Contribute reusable components, coding standards, peer learning, and in-house ServiceNow capability building.

About You

5-7 years of experience in ServiceNow development, platform engineering, enterprise application development, or a related technology role.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow configuration and development, including JavaScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, and notifications.
Experience developing or supporting ServiceNow ITSM processes and service catalog capabilities.
Working knowledge of ServiceNow data structures, tables, reference fields, access controls, roles, and scoped application concepts.
Experience with REST or SOAP integrations, import sets, transform maps, or IntegrationHub.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, evaluate options, and deliver practical solutions.
Experience gathering requirements and converting business needs into maintainable technical solutions.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, security, documentation, testing, and production stability.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across matrixed teams while managing competing priorities.
Hands-on experience designing, developing, or supporting eBonding integrations for incident and request processes, including bi-directional synchronization and production troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow CMDB concepts, CI classes and relationships, identification and reconciliation, data quality, and integration of CMDB data with ITSM processes.
Experience configuring and developing approval flows using Flow Designer or platform workflow capabilities, including multi-level, conditional, group, delegated, escalation, and exception scenarios.
Experience with ServiceNow App Engine Studio, Service Portal, Employee Center, UI Builder, workspaces, or mobile capabilities.
Knowledge of CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, ITOM, ITAM, CSDM, Performance Analytics, or other ServiceNow products.
Experience with Automated Test Framework, source control, CI/CD, application repository, or DevOps practices for ServiceNow.
Familiarity with Agile delivery, backlog management, story refinement, estimation, testing, release practices, and production support.
Experience working in a governed enterprise platform environment with reusable standards and configuration-first principles.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator is preferred.
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or relevant Implementation Specialist certification is a plus.
ITIL Foundation or related service management certification is a plus.
