This role focuses on system-level engineering and verification of next-generation digital communications payloads, with emphasis on requirements verification through test, end-to-end telecom performance validation, and traceable closure of payload requirements.

The selected candidate will contribute across the payload lifecycle, from architecture definition and requirement specification through integration, verification, spacecraft-level testing, and in-orbit validation. The role requires a strong understanding of digital signal processing and RF payload architectures, especially Software Defined Radio (SDR), flexible digital processors, beamforming, and Direct Radiating Array (DRA) systems.

| Your challenges ?

The role involves the following tasks and responsibilities :

Define, analyze, validate, and maintain system and subsystem requirements for digital
telecommunications payloads, with clear traceability to customer and mission performance requirements ;
Plan and conduct end-to-end telecom performance verification, including throughput, EVM, BER, latency, link budget correlation, channelization, beamforming performance, and payload resource allocation behavior ;
Lead or support payload test campaigns at equipment, payload, spacecraft, and mission scenario levels, including integrated payload-spacecraft testing where applicable ;
Use RF and baseband test equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, channel emulators, BER testers, and payload test racks to collect and interpret verification evidence ;

Interface with payload hardware, FPGA, embedded software, RF,platform, and mission systems teams to confirm implementation correctness and requirement closure ;
Participate in technical reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, anomaly investigations, non-conformance resolution, and verification closeout activities ;
Support in-orbit validation and early mission performance assessment by correlating telemetry, payload measurements, and pre-launch verification evidence.

| What do we expect from you ?

The minimum required skills necessary for this role :

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field ;
5+ years of experience in telecommunications systems, digital payloads, RF/DSP systems, or equivalent high-reliability communications test environments. Relevant experience outside the space industry will be considered ;

Définir, analyser, valider et maintenir les exigences système et sous-système pour les charges utiles de télécommunications numériques, avec une traçabilité claire vers les exigences de performance client et de mission ;
Développer et exécuter des plans de vérification, des stratégies d'essais, des procédures d'essai, des critères de réussite/échec, et des rapports de vérification pour les exigences au niveau de la charge utile ;
Planifier et mener la vérification des performances télécom de bout en bout, incluant le débit, l'EVM, le BER, la latence, la corrélation du bilan de liaison, la canalisation, la performance de formage de faisceaux, et le comportement d'allocation des ressources de la charge utile ;
