Ready to be part of the action?
The Technology Partner serves as the dedicated Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and strategic relationship manager between Corporate Finance functions (Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Internal Audit) and the broader Global Technology Services (GTS) organization, including Corporate Technology Services (CTS).
Positioned within the Enterprise Solutions & Services pillar, this role bridges business strategy and technology execution. By establishing formal demand intake, crafting robust business cases, driving vendor Statement of Work (SOW) reviews, and partnering with cross-functional Tech Leads across Enterprise Platforms, Corporate Analytics, and Operations, the Technology Partner optimizes functional architecture, eliminates fragmented processes, and ensures tangible business value realization.
- Reports To: Head of Corporate Technology
- Job Location: Hybrid (2-3 days in office) - based in Toronto, ON.
Key Accountabilities
- Single Point of Contact & Strategic Navigation: Serve as the primary SPOC for corporate functional leadership, enabling executives to seamlessly navigate GTS and external vendor ecosystems while building trusted advisory relationships aligned with strategic priorities.
- Demand Intake & Business Case Development: Establish and manage a structured demand intake framework. Partner with business leaders to build comprehensive business cases, Return on Investment (ROI) models, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses for new technology investments to defend through governance gates.
- Strategic Roadmapping & Business Advisory: Collaborate with functional leaders to build multi-year technology roadmaps aligned directly with corporate OKRs, identifying capability gaps, application redundancies, and opportunities to streamline end-to-end financial workflows.
- Vendor Management & SOW Execution: Partner with Corporate Technology Business Management, Enterprise Architecture, Procurement, and Legal to evaluate vendors, draft RFPs/RFIs, negotiate commercial terms, and review vendor SOWs to ensure clear deliverables, SLAs, milestone payments, and acceptance criteria.
- Platform & Solution Architecture Collaboration: Work alongside Tech Leads across Enterprise Platforms (Workday, ServiceNow, Google Workspace, Corporate Analytics) and GTS teams to define scalable, compliant, and sustainable business solutions that align with enterprise architecture, data governance, and security standards.
- Value Realization & Performance Metrics: Define, track, and measure post-implementation performance metrics against initial business case projections to validate ROI, financial benefits, and system adoption.
- Squad & Delivery Alignment: Partner with dedicated delivery squads (Lead Business Systems Analysts and Integration Developers) to prioritize backlogs, oversee SOW delivery milestones, and drive successful change adoption.
- Corporate Finance & Accounting Focus: Construct business cases and manage vendor SOWs specifically for financial system modernization, tax software, corporate analytics tooling, and data lake feeds to support real-time financial reporting and compliance.
Must Have(s)
- Professional Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in business technology partnering, IT relationship management, senior business systems analysis, or IT consulting supporting enterprise corporate functions.
- Commercial & Financial Acumen: Proven track record authoring executive-level business cases, financial modeling (CAPEX/OPEX, ROI, TCO), and defending funding requests through governance gates.
- Contracting & SOW Expertise: Hands-on experience participating in vendor procurement cycles, drafting/reviewing SOWs, defining vendor deliverables/milestones, and managing third-party delivery risks.
- Demand & Governance Mastery: Demonstrated success establishing formal demand management processes, product roadmapping, and driving OKR-aligned governance frameworks.
- Domain Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Workday Financials, core ERP modules, FP&A platforms (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive), Treasury systems, and transaction management integrations.
- Leadership & Communication: Exceptional capacity to translate complex technical concepts into business language, manage senior executive relationships, and hold vendor partners accountable.
Nice to Have(s)
- Experience partnering with cross-functional data teams to streamline corporate analytics and data lake feeds for automated financial reporting.
- Experience in corporate M&A integrations, general ledger consolidations, or system transformations across complex global structures.
Salary Range: 140K/year - 145K/year CAD. Please note that the salary range included is a guideline only. The salary offered may vary based on factors, including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
