Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design for small to medium sized oil and gas projects for electrical, controls and instrumentation drawings.
- Maintain an organized filing system within each project, ensuring accurate documentation and revision control.
- Manage the requirements of multiple projects simultaneously including time management and deliverable prioritization.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to develop designs and complete electrical drawing packages within project scope, schedule and budget.
- Check drawings to ensure they are complete and compliant with standards and specifications.
- Make revisions and improvements to designs/drawings in accordance with changing project demands while ensuring changes are carried out across an entire design.
Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent.
- 6+ years’ experience in electrical & instrumentation design (oil& gas experience required)
- Familiar with CEC, NFPA, API codes.
- Experience with instructing/supervising junior drafters.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- 3D modelling skills would be considered an asset.
- Excellent English language reading and writing skills.
