Original job description

Job Description

Toast is recruiting on behalf of one of the world’s largest professional services firms, a global leader in audit, tax, and advisory with thousands of professionals across Canada. The firm’s advisory practice is growing its Data & AI business and helping Canada’s largest enterprises put modern data platforms and AI to work. As the Data & AI Alliance Executive, you’ll own revenue origination with the firm’s key technology partners, building pipeline, turning partnerships into new business, and making the firm the go-to name in Data & AI for enterprise clients across the country. This is a full-time role based in Toronto.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities with Data & AI partners including Microsoft, Databricks, Snowflake, and other key ISVs, with a focus on creating and expanding pipeline
Build and drive partner plans and revenue origination strategies that grow top line revenue and market adoption of the firm’s Data & AI solutions
Work with partner field sales teams, channels, and clients to generate and qualify new leads and move them efficiently through the sales funnel
Lead cross-functional teams to execute strategic business plans focused on opportunity identification, pipeline management, and revenue enablement
Champion the firm’s Data & AI solutions and value proposition to build awareness and interest with prospective clients and partners
Take part in the full sales cycle from initial identification through tracking, nurturing, and qualifying opportunities, including business reviews with partners and internal stakeholders
Work closely with partners’ client bases to drive successful adoption of Data & AI services and uncover additional revenue opportunities
Position the firm as the preferred vendor for partner go-to-market initiatives to maximize pipeline growth
Use CRM systems and analytics tools to track pipeline metrics, forecast revenue, and report progress to senior leadership
Support complex contract negotiations and act as the liaison to the legal team on new business deals

Requirements

10+ years of experience in revenue origination, partner sales, or business development within data, AI, or technology
Proven track record creating pipeline, managing opportunities, and driving revenue growth through new business
Strong technical acumen and working knowledge of enterprise Data & AI platforms, especially in the Canadian market
Hands-on experience with Microsoft, Databricks, and Snowflake platforms
Experience leading go-to-market campaigns and cross-functional teams to deliver revenue results in Data & AI
Ability to engage and influence senior executives and decision-makers
Demonstrated success managing partnerships and revenue opportunities against quarterly targets
Experience with emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, cloud data warehousing, and SaaS, and building joint value propositions
Relevant post-secondary education; an MBA is considered an asset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience working across internal and external organizations
Global alliance and sales account management experience would be a plus
Knowledge of professional services infrastructure, technologies, services, and standards is considered an asset

Benefits

Compensation listed on the posting is for base salary only. Total compensation includes base salary + annual bonuses.
Comprehensive Total Rewards program covering health, wellness, and financial benefits
Direct ownership of a revenue pipeline that shapes how Canada’s largest enterprises adopt AI and modern data platforms
A seat at the table with Microsoft, Databricks, and Snowflake, building joint go-to-market plays that reach clients nationwide
Visible, measurable impact: your pipeline numbers report straight to senior leadership and drive the growth of a national Data & AI practice
Career growth at a global firm with structured support at every stage and a clear path into senior alliance and partnership leadership
Application Review

Submit your application, including your resume and cover letter, through our online portal. Our team will carefully review your qualifications and experiences. We take pride in responding promptly, so if your application aligns with our current opportunities, you’ll hear back from us with next steps. Your journey with Toast begins here, and we’re excited to see what you bring to the table!

Vetting Call

If your application is successful, we’ll schedule a vetting call with a member of the Toast team. This 30-45 minute informal conversation is designed for us to get to know you better and assess your skills. Be prepared to discuss your past projects, the challenges you’ve tackled, and the impact you’ve made. This is your chance to shine and show us why you’re a great fit for the roles we offer.

Profile Creation

Once you’ve impressed us in the vetting call, we’ll create an unbiased profile that highlights your experience while minimizing common biases. Instead, we focus on your skills, industry experience, and the impact you’ve made. This way, your profile reflects your true potential and accomplishments.

Client Submission

After crafting your unbiased profile, we submit it to our trusted clients. We work closely with these clients to ensure they understand the value you bring. Throughout their interview process, we remain by your side, providing support and guidance. Our goal is to help you navigate the hiring process smoothly and confidently, ensuring you have the best chance to secure a role that fits your skills and aspirations.
