Manager, Delivery Lead / Project Manager - Gen AI and Software Delivery

Job Description

Toast is recruiting on behalf of a global professional services firm with more than 10,000 people across Canada, for a Delivery Lead / Project Manager on its Gen AI and Software Delivery team in Montreal. The team helps major organizations modernize how software is planned, built, tested and shipped, combining delivery discipline with AI-accelerated development practices so clients can move faster without sacrificing quality, security or trust. In this full-time role, you will lead software modernization and Gen AI-enabled delivery initiatives, bringing structure to fast-moving environments and keeping multidisciplinary teams focused on practical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery for software modernization and AI-accelerated SDLC initiatives
• Manage integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and budget tracking
• Deliver clear executive status reporting to client sponsors and internal leadership
• Partner with architects, developers, product owners and client stakeholders to define scope, success criteria and priorities
• Facilitate agile ceremonies, steering committees, workshops and governance forums
• Support estimation, planning, staffing and delivery model design across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Help teams adopt practical Gen AI and automation practices across requirements, design, development, testing, documentation and release management
• Spot delivery risks early and drive mitigation with internal and client teams
• Build trusted client relationships through clear communication and consistent follow-through
• Coach consultants and senior consultants on delivery discipline, stakeholder management and project management
  
  

Requirements

• 6+ years managing technology, software delivery, transformation or consulting projects
• Experience delivering custom software, cloud, application modernization, data, DevOps or AI-enabled projects
• Strong command of agile, hybrid and waterfall delivery methods
• Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, assumptions and dependencies
• Confidence working with senior client leaders and technical teams alike
• Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project or Smartsheet
• Familiarity with backlog management, sprint planning, testing, release management and production readiness
• Genuine interest in Gen AI and the responsible use of AI tools in delivery environments
• Written and spoken fluency in both French and English
• University degree in business, engineering, computer science, information systems or a related field, or equivalent experience
• PMP, Scrum Master, Product Owner, SAFe, ITIL or cloud certifications are considered an asset
