Job Description

Toast is recruiting on behalf of a global professional services firm with more than 10,000 people across Canada, for a Delivery Lead / Project Manager on its Gen AI and Software Delivery team in Montreal. The team helps major organizations modernize how software is planned, built, tested and shipped, combining delivery discipline with AI-accelerated development practices so clients can move faster without sacrificing quality, security or trust. In this full-time role, you will lead software modernization and Gen AI-enabled delivery initiatives, bringing structure to fast-moving environments and keeping multidisciplinary teams focused on practical outcomes.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery for software modernization and AI-accelerated SDLC initiatives
Manage integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and budget tracking
Deliver clear executive status reporting to client sponsors and internal leadership
Partner with architects, developers, product owners and client stakeholders to define scope, success criteria and priorities
Facilitate agile ceremonies, steering committees, workshops and governance forums
Support estimation, planning, staffing and delivery model design across multiple concurrent workstreams
Help teams adopt practical Gen AI and automation practices across requirements, design, development, testing, documentation and release management
Spot delivery risks early and drive mitigation with internal and client teams
Build trusted client relationships through clear communication and consistent follow-through
Coach consultants and senior consultants on delivery discipline, stakeholder management and project management

Requirements

6+ years managing technology, software delivery, transformation or consulting projects
Experience delivering custom software, cloud, application modernization, data, DevOps or AI-enabled projects
Strong command of agile, hybrid and waterfall delivery methods
Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, assumptions and dependencies
Confidence working with senior client leaders and technical teams alike
Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project or Smartsheet
Familiarity with backlog management, sprint planning, testing, release management and production readiness
Genuine interest in Gen AI and the responsible use of AI tools in delivery environments
Written and spoken fluency in both French and English
University degree in business, engineering, computer science, information systems or a related field, or equivalent experience
PMP, Scrum Master, Product Owner, SAFe, ITIL or cloud certifications are considered an asset
Applications must include a resume and cover letter

Benefits

Compensation listed on the posting is for base salary only. Total compensation includes base salary + annual bonuses.
Comprehensive flexible health, dental and vision coverage
Employer-supported retirement savings program
Annual wellness and personal spending account
Generous paid time off, including firm-wide flex days and holiday closures
Funded professional development and certification support (PMP, SAFe, cloud and more)
Hybrid work model with a Montreal home base
Lead Gen AI adoption on real client engagements, shaping how some of Canada’s largest organizations build and ship software
Direct exposure to C-suite client sponsors and the chance to grow a team of consultants under your leadership
Join a firm with a clear path from Manager to Senior Manager and beyond
Application Review

Submit your application, including your resume and cover letter, through our online portal. Our team will carefully review your qualifications and experiences. We take pride in responding promptly, so if your application aligns with our current opportunities, you’ll hear back from us with next steps. Your journey with Toast begins here, and we’re excited to see what you bring to the table!

Vetting Call

If your application is successful, we’ll schedule a vetting call with a member of the Toast team. This 30-45 minute informal conversation is designed for us to get to know you better and assess your skills. Be prepared to discuss your past projects, the challenges you’ve tackled, and the impact you’ve made. This is your chance to shine and show us why you’re a great fit for the roles we offer.

Profile Creation

Once you’ve impressed us in the vetting call, we’ll create an unbiased profile that highlights your experience while minimizing common biases. Instead, we focus on your skills, industry experience, and the impact you’ve made. This way, your profile reflects your true potential and accomplishments.

Client Submission

After crafting your unbiased profile, we submit it to our trusted clients. We work closely with these clients to ensure they understand the value you bring. Throughout their interview process, we remain by your side, providing support and guidance. Our goal is to help you navigate the hiring process smoothly and confidently, ensuring you have the best chance to secure a role that fits your skills and aspirations.
