- Assess existing environments, including legacy systems, data platforms, cloud setups, AI/ML stacks and integration models
- Build pragmatic modernization roadmaps that fit business goals, technology constraints and each client’s ability to execute
- Define governed, scalable data architectures that support advanced analytics, generative AI and intelligent agents
- Design auditable architectures that account for performance, security, compliance, traceability, observability, explainability and governance
- Guide architectural decisions by weighing cost, scalability, resilience, performance, operability and time to value
- Design and oversee advanced integration patterns, including APIs, event-driven architectures, streaming, data mesh, orchestration, agents and intelligent workflows
- Act as a trusted advisor to executives, IT leaders, data and product teams, and business stakeholders
- Accelerate client adoption of generative AI, business copilots, autonomous agents and enterprise AI platforms
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, data engineers, data scientists, and cloud, security and governance specialists
- Help evolve the firm’s offerings in AI, data architecture, cloud transformation, enterprise architecture and technology governance
- 10+ years of experience in complex solution architecture, such as enterprise architecture, cloud, data, integration, digital platforms or technology modernization
- Recent, significant experience with AI-native architectures, generative AI, data platforms or large-scale digital transformation
- Proven track record as a subject matter expert on critical or strategic initiatives
- Strong expertise designing modern data platforms, including lakehouse, data mesh, data products and data governance (quality, cataloguing, lineage, observability)
- Deep knowledge of integration patterns, including APIs, event-driven architecture, streaming, messaging, orchestration and agents
- Experience with distributed, resilient, secure and highly available architectures
- Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform: Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform
- Strong understanding of cloud-first, hybrid and multi-cloud architectures
- Hands-on experience with AI services, data engineering, MLOps/LLMOps, observability and cloud security
- Experience with generative AI platforms, copilots, intelligent agents, orchestration tools and retrieval-augmented systems
- Ability to balance a target-state vision with existing constraints, risk, cost, governance and delivery capacity
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex architecture for non-technical audiences and influence executive decisions
- Experience mentoring teams and upholding the architectural quality of deliverables
- Written and spoken fluency in English, as the role serves English-speaking clients and colleagues across Canada
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem would be a plus, including Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Fabric, AI Foundry and Microsoft Purview
- Experience evaluating and recommending technologies across multiple vendors based on client context is considered an asset
- Base salary of $103,000 to $190,000, plus an annual performance bonus
- Comprehensive flexible health, dental and wellness benefits, plus retirement savings support
- Paid time off, flexible work arrangements and personal days to support balance
- Dedicated learning budget and access to firm-wide AI and cloud training and certifications
- A clear path toward Director and Partner within one of the most established advisory practices in the country
- Direct influence on how some of Canada’s largest banks, governments and enterprises adopt generative AI and agentic systems, with your architecture decisions shaping platforms used by thousands of employees and millions of customers
