We are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to support our growth in the Greater Toronto Area. In this newly created role, you will combine strong technical expertise with a sales mindset to assess compressed air systems, conduct air audits and recommend tailored solutions, while developing new business and growing existing customer relationships.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Meet regularly with customers, prospects and distributor partners throughout the assigned territory to understand their needs, develop new accounts and identify business opportunities.
Analyze and troubleshoot compressed air systems at customer sites and recommend solutions to improve performance, efficiency and safety.
Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations and application training to customers and distributor partners.
Support distributors through joint customer visits, technical guidance and sales development initiatives.
Manage and grow existing accounts by introducing additional Topring solutions and building long-term partnerships.
Identify compressed air audit opportunities, conduct the audits, analyze the data and present clear findings, expected benefits and recommended action plans.
Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities, maintain accurate CRM records and follow up rigorously to open new accounts, grow existing business and achieve sales targets.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

5+ years of technical experience in compressed air, pneumatics, fluid power, industrial maintenance or automation.
College diploma in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
Experience in sales and/or customer service, with the ability to build trusted relationships with engineers, mechanical contractors, industrial distributors and end-user operations and maintenance teams.
Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with industrial equipment and systems.
Proven ability to diagnose technical issues, recommend practical, value-driven solutions and explain technical concepts clearly.
Ability to work autonomously, take initiative and demonstrate strong problem-solving, organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to effectively plan and prioritize customer visits and sales activities across an assigned territory.
Fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel regularly throughout the territory.

Although Topring’s head office is located in Granby, Quebec, you are expected to reside within the Greater Toronto Area or surrounding region. The assigned territory extends from Mississauga to Oshawa and north to Barrie. Frequent travel within the territory is required as part of your responsibilities. One in-person team meeting is held annually at our Granby office, a great opportunity to connect with colleagues. When not travelling, you may work from home.

WHO YOU WILL BE COLLABORATING WITH

You will join our 16-person sales team, with colleagues based across Quebec, Ontario and Alberta, and report to the Regional Sales Director based in Ontario.
You will also collaborate with colleagues from various teams, including customer support, procurement, technical, administration, IT, marketing, warehouse, and talent & culture. The Topring team is made up of 75 passionate and experienced people with complementary expertise, strengths and interests.
French is not required for this role, as your customers are based in Ontario and your immediate colleagues are bilingual or English-speaking. However, you will regularly hear French when interacting with the broader Topring team, much of which is French-speaking.

CE QUE NOUS RECHERCHONS

5+ années d’expérience technique en air comprimé, pneumatique, puissance des fluides, maintenance industrielle ou automatisation.
Diplôme collégial dans un domaine technique ou expérience équivalente.
Expérience en vente et/ou en service client, avec la capacité de bâtir des relations de confiance avec des ingénieurs, des entrepreneurs en mécanique, des distributeurs industriels ainsi que des équipes d’exploitation et de maintenance chez les utilisateurs finaux.
Solides connaissances techniques et expérience pratique avec des équipements et systèmes industriels.
Capacité démontrée à diagnostiquer des problèmes techniques, à recommander des solutions pratiques à valeur ajoutée et à expliquer clairement des concepts techniques.
Capacité à travailler de façon autonome, à faire preuve d’initiative et à démontrer de solides aptitudes en résolution de problèmes, en organisation et en gestion du temps.
Capacité à planifier et à prioriser efficacement les visites clients et les activités de vente sur un territoire assigné.

Pour ce poste, la maîtrise du français n’est pas requise, puisque les clients avec lesquels vous interagirez sont situés en Ontario et que vos collègues immédiats sont soit bilingues, soit anglophones. Cela dit, vous serez tout de même exposé·e au français régulièrement, puisque la majorité de l’équipe élargie est francophone.
