About the Role
As a Casual Server, you'll help create exceptional dining experiences for our residents and their guests through friendly, attentive service and a welcoming attitude. Working alongside our Hospitality team, you'll assist with meal service, dining room operations, and resident interactions, playing an important role in creating a positive dining experience and enhancing our residents' quality of life.
Schedule: Casual. Evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Compensation: $20.68
Role Responsibilities:
- Set up, serve, and maintain dining rooms and designated service areas
- Take meal and beverage orders following established policies and Serving it Right guidelines
- Handle food in accordance with Food Safe sanitary procedures and regulatory standards
- Respond attentively and efficiently to tenant requests, questions, concerns, and complaints
- Take ownership of tenant issues and follow up to ensure satisfaction
- Wash plates, utensils, and glassware; assist with light kitchen food prep (soups, salads, entrees, desserts)
- Report any maintenance needs to the Hospitality Manager
- Follow WHMIS protocols, infection control guidelines, and maintain MSDS
- Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety policies and support Risk Management programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Necessary Education and Experience:
- Serving It Right Certification
- Food Safe Certification
- WHMIS Certification
- First Aid Certificate
- Previous experience in dining, hospitality, and/or full-service senior living is preferred

Responsibilities
Set up and maintain dining areas, take meal and beverage orders, serve residents and guests, and assist with light food preparation and dishwashing. Respond to resident concerns, follow food safety and workplace safety procedures, report maintenance needs, and help ensure a welcoming dining experience.
Requirements
Serving It Right, Food Safe, WHMIS, and First Aid certifications are required. Previous experience in dining, hospitality, or full-service senior living is preferred, along with strong communication, organizational, multitasking, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
