Toromont Cat is looking for a Compact Equipment Sales Representative to be the key point of contact between the business and our Compact Equipment customers. He/she will have a passion for sales and a proactive desire to connect with customers, identify opportunities, and deliver equipment solutions that help customers succeed. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and enjoys owning the sales process from lead generation through delivery. Successful incumbents will have the opportunity to grow their careers within Toromont Cat, including progression into future sales representative opportunities.

Pay Type	Full Time, Permanent
Compensation	$70,000.00 - Base Salary	The listed base salary is just one component of our total rewards package. This role is eligible for a performance-based commission plan with target annual commission earnings of $20,000 to $50,000, resulting in a target total compensation opportunity of $90,000 to $120,000 annually.

A Typical Day @ Work:

Respond quickly and professionally to customer inquiries generated through walk-in traffic, digital leads, rental conversions, events, and referrals

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers

Prospect new opportunities and identify customers that would benefit from compact equipment solutions

Determine customer requirements and recommend equipment, attachments, financing, and service solutions

Present equipment options, pricing, trade-in opportunities, financing programs, and payment solutions

Manage opportunities from initial contact through closing and delivery

Convert rental customers into equipment ownership opportunities

Participate in local events, trade shows, demonstrations, and customer engagement activities

Maintain accurate customer information, quotes, opportunities, and follow-up activities within CRM systems

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience

Establish attainable monthly and yearly objectives intended to reinforce continuous improvement and achievement toward Company goals

Requirements:

Post-secondary education ideally in Business, Sales, Marketing, Construction Management, Equipment Management, or a related program
3-5 years of sales experience; equipment, automotive, dealership, construction, or related industry experience is an asset
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills

Self-motivated, competitive, and results-oriented mindset

Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills

Ability to manage multiple opportunities and follow up with urgency

Comfort discussing financing, payments, trade-ins, and value-based solutions

Proficiency with CRM systems, digital sales tools, and technology platforms

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
