In a typical day, YOU will:
- Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives.
- Assist Shop and field Technicians and Supervisors as directed in support of the business’ needs Track, store and maintain all required tooling required to ensure safe tool operation.
- Be responsible for the calibration of the tools, making sure to respect the expiry date parameters.
- Locate and clean equipment as required including moving the equipment to end locations before and after repairs are made.
- Validate component lists and prepare for pick up by technicians or shipping via carrier.
- Maintain shop and surrounding work area cleanliness.
- Support Contamination Control efforts by maintaining bulk oil, collection sites and solvent stands according to ISO standards Ensure waste is segregated according to established policies.
- May occasionally help technicians on the road with their tasks.
Must-haves for this role:
- Completed high school OR have at least 3 years in a similar workshop support function.
- Valid G Driver’s License Ability to lift up to 30 - 50lbs.
- Comfortable working in a garage style environment, mechanical inclination.
