Junior Xamarin Developer

About the Opportunity

Our client is a technology and manufacturing organization whose teams combine engineering, manufacturing, technology, and field experience to deliver dependable solutions for demanding industrial environments. They are seeking a Junior Mobile App Developer to support the continued development, reliability, and evolution of their software products.

In this hands-on growth role, you will contribute to mobile applications and services across front-end interfaces, APIs, integrations, databases, and development tooling. This is an opportunity to build on your C# foundation while developing practical experience with cross-platform applications and connected devices.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop, test, document, deploy, and support mobile applications and services.
• Build application features, device interfaces, API integrations, diagnostics, and technical documentation.
• Consume REST APIs and JSON services, including authentication and real-time or event-driven services.
• Troubleshoot application code, device behaviour, operating-system restrictions, APIs, networks, and connected hardware.
• Apply platform-aware testing, secure coding practices, and structured release processes.
• Collaborate across software, quality assurance, support, product, data, and technical functions.

What You Bring

• Bring one to three years of software-development experience, ideally involving mobile applications.
• Apply solid C# and modern .NET fundamentals, including asynchronous programming and object-oriented design.
• Demonstrate experience with .NET MAUI, Xamarin, or XAML-based application development.
• Understand REST APIs, JSON services, authentication flows, and mobile application development for Android, iOS, or Windows.
• Show practical troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and communication skills.
• Treat experience with connected devices, Bluetooth, USB/OTG, telemetry, local persistence, automated mobile testing, or shared backend services as a strong asset.

Compensation

The estimated base pay rate for this position is CAD $70,000 to CAD $80,000 per year as of the posting date. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training. Please note that this range reflects the base pay rate only and does not include any applicable bonuses or benefits.
