We are looking for an experienced and organized Dispatcher / Scheduler to join our team in Kitimat, BC. In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you will play a key part in coordinating daily transportation operations, ensuring drivers, vehicles, and schedules are managed safely and efficiently.

You will monitor operations in real time, communicate with drivers and supervisors, respond to unexpected changes, and make timely decisions to ensure reliable service delivery.

What You'll Do

Prepare and manage daily driver schedules, routes, and vehicle assignments.
Dispatch drivers and coordinate transportation services according to operational requirements and established schedules.
Monitor daily operations and respond promptly to delays, service disruptions, driver absences, and unexpected changes.
Coordinate driver coverage for vacations, sick calls, and other absences to maintain service continuity.
Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers, supervisors, and management.
Track and accurately document driver attendance, service updates, incidents, and operational activities.
Maintain accurate records using scheduling, dispatch, and other operational systems.
Assist with service recovery, emergency response, and contingency planning when required.
Identify operational challenges, troubleshoot issues, and escalate concerns when necessary.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Impact You'll Make

As a Dispatcher / Scheduler, you will play an essential role in keeping our transportation operations safe, efficient, and reliable.

You Will

Ensure drivers and vehicles are properly coordinated to meet daily service requirements.
Support drivers through clear communication and timely operational assistance.
Respond effectively to changing priorities and help minimize service disruptions.
Contribute to a positive experience for passengers through reliable transportation services.
Help maintain smooth and efficient daily operations.

What We Offer

Competitive hourly pay of $33.00/hour.
Extended health benefits after successfully completing a 90-day probationary period.
A dynamic and supportive work environment.
Opportunities for career growth and advancement across Transdev's North American operations.
The opportunity to make a positive impact by supporting safe and reliable transportation services.
Be part of a global organization committed to diversity, inclusion, and employee development.

What You Bring

2–4 years of dispatching experience, preferably in transportation, transit, logistics, or a similar operational environment.
High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12) required.
Dispatch training or certification is considered an asset.
Experience coordinating drivers, schedules, and vehicle assignments is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
Ability to multitask and make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with dispatching or scheduling software.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of local geography, transportation routes, and operational requirements is considered an asset.
Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer service.

You must reside in Kitimat or the surrounding area, or be willing to relocate at your own expense, as relocation assistance and accommodations are not provided.

Your Location & Schedule

Location: Kitimat, British Columbia.
Employment Type: Full-time.
Schedule: 5 days on / 2 days off.
Hourly Rate: $33.00/hour.
