Transdev Canada is hiring School Bus Drivers in Calgary for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year.

Are you looking for meaningful part-time work with a schedule that still gives you time for family, personal priorities, or retirement? This role is a great fit for retirees, semi-retirees, moms, parents, caregivers, and anyone looking for a reliable weekday routine with summers, PD days, weekends, and statutory holidays off.

As a School Bus Driver, you will help safely transport students to and from school while making a direct impact on families across Calgary. You will be trusted with precious cargo and supported with paid training, a positive team environment, and yards located across all four quadrants of the city.

Your role

Safely transport students to and from school on time
Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Support student safety while boarding, exiting, and crossing the street
Communicate professionally with students, families, schools, dispatch, and supervisors
Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and operating standards

Your profile

Valid Alberta Class 2 driver’s licence (or higher) preferred
S Endorsement considered an asset
Applicants with a valid Alberta Class 5 drivers license may also be considered, with training support available to obtain a Class 2 S License.
Good driving record
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Experience safely transporting people is an asset
Dependable, safety-focused, and professional approach

Pre-hire Requirements

Clean driver’s abstract
Clear criminal record check
Clear vulnerable sector check
Successful drug and alcohol test, including cannabis, which is prohibited under corporate policy

Your location

This is a part-time split shift position based in Calgary, Alberta.
Drivers work Monday to Friday for at least 2 hours between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM, then return for an afternoon shift between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
You may park at one of our four Calgary yards, depending on operational needs and your location.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a valid Alberta Class 2 driver's licence or be willing to train for one, and possess a clean driving record. Candidates must also pass a criminal record check, vulnerable sector check, and a drug and alcohol test.
