The wheels on the bus go round and round...and we're looking for YOU to take the wheel!

We're hiring a Casual Transit bus driver for $20.05/hour to fill a vacancy at our Temiskaming Location! Let's get this bus moving!

Candidates applying with a current valid work permit and requiring a licence upgrade, must have at least twelve months of remaining validity on the work permit at the time of application.

Your role

  • Reporting to your operational supervisor, you will drive a passenger transportation vehicle, with responsibilities including:
  • Welcoming customers (providing information and managing specific situations)
  • Respecting safety rules (vehicle inspections, traffic regulation)
  • Managing passenger ticketing (Ensuring ticket validation, cash management)
  • Managing operational documents (route map, timetable)

Requirements

Your profile

  • You are safety focused
  • You are available minimum once shift per month
  • You hold a valid minimum full G class drivers license, preference will be given to BZ class drivers.
  • You are 21 years of age or over
  • You possess clean driving record and criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening
  • You have a sound knowledge of the Temiskaming region and surrounding areas
  • You have the ability to work independently
  • You possess solid communication skills
