Voyago is hiring a School Bus Driver in Halton for the 2026/2027 school year!

We are currently seeking 1 Part-Time Driver in the Milton area!
Your role:
- Safely transport students within your community to and from school, ensuring a reliable and positive experience each day
- Prioritize student safety at all times, including during boarding, transit, and exiting the vehicle
- Conduct thorough pre and post trip inspections to ensure the bus remains in proper and safe operating condition
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the bus, including assisting with fueling and basic upkeep to present a well kept, professional vehicle
- Accurately complete daily Hours of Service reports and maintain required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Immediately report any mechanical issues or concerns affecting the safe operation of the vehicle
- Address and report any student behaviour issues in a timely and professional manner, following company procedures
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with safety practices, policies, and regulations
- Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and care while fostering a safe and respectful environment for all passengers
Your profile:
- You are safety focused
- You hold a valid minimum full G class drivers license for at least 1 year (preference will be given to those with a B class licence)
- If you don't currently hold a B or E Class licence, Voyago has you covered, full training is provided at no cost to you!
- You are 21 years of age or over
- You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
- You can obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening
- You have sound knowledge of Halton and surrounding area
- You have the ability to work independently
- You are available for the required shifts:
- Monday to Friday approximately 6:30am to 9:15am AND 1:00pm to 4:30pm (Start and end times will vary depending on the specific details of each route)
- You possess solid communication skills
- You enjoy being around children with disabilities of all ages
- You are physically capable of bending, twisting and getting low to the ground to secure wheelchairs
- You are comfortable driving in all types of weather and road conditions
- You are comfortable driving large vehicles
- You have basic computer skills and can easily navigate Google Maps or a GPS unit

- Your hourly rate will be $22.20 per hour!
- FREE drivers licence upgrade training
- You will be compensated for a 4 hour minimum daily shift
- Opportunities are available with charters for extra hours
- We offer routes within Cambridge, Guelph, Kitchener and Waterloo!
- Our full time comprehensive benefit package is available if you work 30+ hours or more per week
- Drivers should be located in the Halton area as the route will start and end in this location
- Got a driveway with some extra space? You can park your bus at home for the school year!
- No space? No problem. We also have a few park-out locations so your ride is never too far away!

Responsibilities
Safely transport students to and from school, prioritizing their safety and providing a reliable, respectful experience. Inspect and maintain the bus, complete required reports, promptly report vehicle or student concerns, and participate in ongoing training.
Requirements
Applicants must be at least 21, hold a full G-class licence for at least one year, have a clean driving record, and be able to obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening; a B-class licence is preferred, and training is provided for B- or E-class upgrades. Candidates should know the Halton area, communicate well, be comfortable driving large vehicles in varied conditions, and be physically able to secure wheelchairs and work weekday split shifts.
