We are looking for a Controls Systems Engineer to design and maintain the control logic for our APU systems, which provide electric HVAC and battery management for commercial vehicles without idling the engine.

Key responsibilities

Developing and maintaining control logic for existing and new APU products
Building and maintaining simulation models of the APU for virtual testing• Participating in defining control specifications and requirements with the multi-disciplinary team
Performing hardware-in-the-loop testing and validation on actual APU units
Generating code from Stateflow models and carrying out verification and validation• Contributing to troubleshooting of system-level issues• Evaluating component alternatives during product development• Supporting prototyping efforts with control logic integration• Calibrating control parameters based on test data• Documenting control logic, state machines, and calibration parameters
Developing and maintaining automated test benches for validation
Conducting root cause analysis on system-level failures• Optimizing control strategies for energy efficiency

Required qualifiications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics
At least 5 years of relevant experience in control systems or embedded applications
Basic knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow
Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance and support engineering work

Preferred skills

Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing• Familiarity with CAN bus communication protocols
Knowledge of battery management systems or energy storage systems
Experience in automotive or commercial vehicle applications
Experience with thermal modeling

Ingénieur en systèmes de contrôle

Objectif principal du rôle

Concevoir et maintenir la logique de contrôle pour les systèmes APU (Auxiliary Power Unit / Unité de puissance auxiliaire). Ces systèmes fournissent la climatisation/chauffage électrique (HVAC) et la gestion de la batterie pour les véhicules commerciaux, permettant de faire fonctionner ces équipements sans laisser le moteur tourner au ralenti.

Responsabilités clés

Développement et modélisation : Développer la logique de commande, créer des modèles de simulation pour des tests virtuels, et générer du code à partir de modèles Stateflow.
Tests et validation : Effectuer des tests Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) sur des unités réelles, calibrer les paramètres à partir des données de test et développer des bancs d'essai automatisés.
