The Role: 24/7 Program Supervisor – Raven & Maple (Full-time)

The Supervisor provides program-level leadership, guidance and support to the program staff team and participants, creating the conditions for people to do their best work and for the program to achieve meaningful outcomes. As an integral member of the 24/7 Programs Leadership Team, the Supervisor supports the day-to-day functioning of the program while translating portfolio and organizational priorities into meaningful program-level practice.

The Supervisor leads with curiosity, humility, a possibility mindset and grit, fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, accountability, learning and growth. They support staff through coaching, development and clear direction while creating opportunities for ownership and leadership.

Through inclusive communication, relationship management and collaboration, the Supervisor supports healthy team dynamics, psychological safety and shared accountability, while ensuring program practice reflects Trellis' values and commitment to meaningful participant outcomes.

The Supervisor works a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet program needs and provide leadership support across the team.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Provide program leadership to ensure Raven and Maple are safe, stable, welcoming and recovery-oriented housing environments for young adults and adult women.
Lead recovery-oriented, participant-centred practice, supporting hope, self-determination, strengths, wellness, harm reduction and participant-defined goals and outcomes.
Lead, coach and develop frontline staff, building team capacity, supporting performance and professional growth, and creating opportunities for ownership, initiative and leadership.
Promote a housing-focused approach that supports housing stability, tenancy success, life skills, wellness, community connection and successful transitions.
Promote participant voice, choice and natural supports, supporting participants to build and maintain meaningful relationships with family, friends, cultural communities and other identified supports.
Provide leadership in safety, risk and crisis response, balancing participant autonomy and dignity with the safety of participants, staff and the broader community.
Support collaborative and integrated service delivery, working with staff, clinical and wellness supports, housing partners and community agencies to provide coordinated care.
Foster a healthy team culture through collaboration, open communication, shared accountability, professional relationships and continuous learning.
Ensure quality program practice and documentation, including case notes, service plans, safety plans, incident reporting and other requirements, while maintaining alignment with organizational, contractual and regulatory expectations.
Oversee day-to-day program operations, including the physical environment, household resources, budgets and other operational requirements, ensuring the program remains safe, welcoming and functional.
Contribute to program development and continuous improvement, providing insight to the Leadership Team regarding participant needs, staff capacity, emerging risks, opportunities and program priorities.
Represent Trellis and model its values and leadership expectations in relationships with participants, staff, natural supports, community partners and other stakeholders.
Support Practicum Students and participate in on-call responsibilities, including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays as required.
Other duties as required.

Knowledge & Skill Expectations

Education & Experience

A degree or diploma in a Human Services field such as Social Work, Child and Youth Care, Psychology, Addictions and Mental Health, Community Rehabilitation, Justice Studies or a related discipline. Equivalencies will be considered.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in human services, housing, homelessness, mental health, addictions or community services, with experience supporting individuals with complex and/or intersecting needs.
Experience working with young adults and/or adult women experiencing housing instability, homelessness, mental health concerns, substance use, trauma, poverty, social isolation or other complex life circumstances is an asset.
Experience in supportive housing, housing-focused, residential or community-based services, preferably within a 24/7 environment, is an asset.
Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, supervising or mentoring frontline staff.

Practice Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of Recovery-Oriented Practice, including hope, empowerment, self-determination, person-centred and strengths-based practice, holistic wellness and community connection.
Knowledge of housing-focused practice, Natural Supports and harm reduction, including the relationship between housing stability, wellness, recovery and community connection.
Strong risk assessment, safety planning and crisis response skills, with the ability to balance safety with autonomy, dignity and self-determination.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills, including the ability to navigate conflict, provide constructive feedback and build trust with participants, staff and community partners.
Ability to lead collaboratively, engage diverse perspectives, share accountability and support coordinated service delivery across teams and systems.
Ability to adapt to complex and changing circumstances, using sound judgment, initiative and a solutions-focused approach.
Strong organizational, documentation and computer skills.
Commitment to reflective practice, continuous learning and professional development.

Other Requirements

Valid driver's license, current Driver's Abstract and reliable vehicle with $2 million liability insurance, where driving is an operational requirement of the position.
Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification prior to commencement.
Current Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Record Check.
