Original job description

About Trialto

Trialto, part of Dandurand Group, is one of Western Canada’s leading premium wine import agencies, with a 20-year history of building top brands. We represent some of the most prestigious family-owned wineries from around the world, and help liquor boards, retailers and restaurants source, market and sell their wines.

Our portfolio identity, “Wines of People, Place and Time,” guides everything we do: we share the stories of the families who make the wines, the places they come from and the generations behind them. We work hard to win and drive results, while having fun and celebrating our successes.

Position Summary:

The Portfolio & Marketing Coordinator works closely with the Brand Portfolio Directors, Sales Director and Sales team to support the execution of sales and marketing activities across Western Canada for Trialto’s portfolio of winery partners.

The role coordinates the accurate and timely development, submission and distribution of sales and marketing materials, and acts as a key liaison with suppliers, vendors and liquor board contacts. It covers Point-of-Sale materials, liquor board and retail submissions, digital and social media content, media and PR support, winery market visits, and trade and consumer events.

Responsibilities:

Sales & Marketing Support

Prepare and distribute accurate sales and marketing materials, and support Brand Portfolio Directors with brand programs and promotional activities.
Assist with sales tools, product proposals, presentations and competitive reports.
Maintain and clean product and marketing data (including EZFOCUS) and support depletion and marketing activity reports.

Point-of-Sale Materials

Coordinate the preparation, production and distribution of POS materials (shelf talkers, value-adds, tasting materials, technical sheets, menu shells, pricing and case cards), designed in-house or with external design partners.
Ensure materials are delivered ahead of internal, supplier and external deadlines.

Liquor Board, Retail & Online Catalogue

Maintain accurate product information, imagery, vintages and digital assets for key retailers and liquor boards, within required deadlines.
Keep the Trialto online wine catalogue for Western Canada current: brand stories, descriptions, imagery, pricing, ratings and vintages.

Supplier & Winery Market Visits

Act as the key coordination point for winery partner visits: itineraries, schedules, meeting details, supporting materials and follow-up.

Digital, Social Media & Email

Coordinate the social media content calendar and the creation, scheduling and publishing of content.
Create or coordinate visual assets for web, social media and email campaigns, and keep online information current.

Media & Public Relations

Support media sample programs, press releases, media communications and influencer relations for Western Canada, and keep organized records.

Events & Trade Marketing

Help plan and execute trade shows, tastings, and trade and consumer events, including materials and logistics, and provide on-site support.

Team & Customer Service

Provide responsive, professional support to internal teams, trade customers, suppliers and partners, communicating clearly on timelines and requirements.

Core Competencies

Accuracy & Attention to Detail – thorough, process-driven work that meets deadlines and quality standards.
Organization & Time Management – prioritizes effectively and manages multiple projects with a sense of urgency.
Teamwork & Collaborative Relationships – builds positive, professional relationships with colleagues, suppliers and partners.
Creativity – brings fresh ideas while working within Trialto’s brand and business strategy.
Flexibility & Service Orientation – adapts to changing priorities and provides responsive, solutions-focused service.

Job Requirements:

Strong experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator); proficient in Microsoft 365 and familiar with Apple products.
Experience with social media content and platform management, and website maintenance (preferably WordPress); EZFOCUS and AI tools are an asset.
Excellent written and verbal communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
Organized and diligent, able to manage multiple priorities and to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong customer service focus and comfortable supporting teams at off-site events.
Passion for wine; intermediate wine knowledge or WSET certification is an asset.
