Original job description

ABOUT TRIMAX EMPLOYMENT

Trimax Employment is a technology-first Canadian staffing agency with a national footprint. We place talent across every industry, from frontline and skilled trades roles to professional and technical hires.

Staffing has been slow to modernize. We built our business around our own workforce platform, so clients get faster fills, verified attendance, and real visibility into their contingent workforce instead of guesswork.

We are hiring multiple Business Development Representatives to open new accounts across all major Canadian cities.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Business Development Representative at Trimax Employment, you are the frontline of our growth engine. This is a high-activity, office-based role. Most of your week is spent on the phone, on email, and on LinkedIn building pipeline, with a handful of days each month out in the field visiting prospects and clients in person. You will prospect, qualify, and open new accounts nationally, working alongside our recruitment and leadership teams to deliver a seamless client experience from day one.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prospecting and Pipeline Development

Identify and research target companies across all major Canadian cities using Apollo.io, LinkedIn, and market intelligence tools
Build and maintain a robust prospect pipeline with consistent daily outreach volume across cold call, email, and LinkedIn
Plan and execute periodic field days, visiting warehouses, plants, offices, and job sites to meet prospects in person and open discovery conversations
Qualify inbound and outbound leads against defined ICP criteria

Client Acquisition and Relationship Building

Schedule and lead discovery meetings with HR managers, operations leaders, and C-suite contacts
Deliver clear, tailored pitches built around each prospect's workforce challenges and hiring volumes
Negotiate terms of business and close new staffing agreements in line with company rate cards and margin targets
Represent Trimax Employment at business events, industry meetups, and trade associations to build brand presence nationally

WHAT YOU BRING

Required

Minimum 2 years in business development, sales, or account executive roles, ideally in staffing, HR services, or B2B services
Proven cold outreach experience by phone and email, with the confidence to meet prospects face to face when required
Proficiency with HubSpot CRM for pipeline management, activity logging, and reporting
Strong command of the full business development cycle from prospecting to close
Excellent verbal communication and the ability to build rapport fast in person, on the phone, and over email
Valid G-class driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle for periodic client visits

Preferred

Prior staffing agency or workforce solutions experience
Comfort selling a tech-enabled service
Familiarity with Canadian labour market dynamics and employment regulations
Experience selling into operations, supply chain, HR, or finance decision-makers
Track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a high-activity sales role

WHAT WE OFFER

Base salary plus uncapped commission on new business
A tech-backed offering that differentiates you in the field
Full sales stack provided: HubSpot, Apollo.io, and mobile and travel support
Direct access to leadership and a short path from pitch to signed agreement
Room to grow into senior BD and account management

Trimax Employment is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all qualified individuals.
