Position Title: Senior Python Engineer
Location: Mississauga, ON
Job Type: Hybrid – 3 days to office & 2 days remote

We are seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, REST APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, and CI/CD on Linux and a proven ability to design, build, and support scalable, secure services and integrations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and support Python-based applications and services.
- Build and maintain REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations.
- Contribute to development of Agentic AI workflows and MCP-enabled components.
- Implement integrations between AI models, enterprise systems, and business applications.
- Develop reusable services and components following enterprise engineering standards.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design through support.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and operational controls to ensure reliability.
- Contribute to automation, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.
- Work with messaging and event-streaming technologies for asynchronous processing.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to analyze requirements and deliver solutions.
- Support issue resolution, performance tuning, and application enhancements.
- Document designs, implementation details, and operational procedures.
- Follow established security, governance, and risk management standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of hands-on development with Python.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms.
- Proficiency with FastAPI, Flask, or similar Python frameworks.
- Knowledge of SQL and database technologies.
- Experience with source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Experience working in Linux environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with effective collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related STEM field, or equivalent experience.
