Role Description The PM Dispatch Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mississauga, ON, responsible for overseeing evening dispatch operations for LTL transportation services. This role manages driver and equipment assignments, monitors load planning, and ensures timely departures and arrivals in alignment with service commitments. The PM Dispatch Manager reviews route performance, addresses schedule changes, and coordinates with operations, customer service, and logistics teams to resolve issues quickly. Daily tasks include supervising dispatch staff, maintaining accurate system updates, monitoring compliance with company policies and safety standards, and escalating operational challenges as needed. The role also involves analyzing dispatch metrics, recommending process improvements, and supporting continuous optimization of PM operations.

Qualifications

• Strong expediting and expeditor-related skills to manage time-sensitive shipments and prioritize urgent loads effectively.
• Experience in logistics management and dispatch coordination within a trucking or LTL environment.
• Project management abilities to organize PM operations, oversee multiple tasks, and drive process improvements.
• Inspection and quality-check skills to verify documentation, load accuracy, and compliance with safety and service standards.
• Proven leadership experience in an operations or dispatch setting, with the ability to guide and support team members.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to make sound decisions under time pressure.
• Comfort with dispatch and transportation management systems, and proficiency in standard office software.
• Knowledge of North American LTL operations, routing, and regulations; prior experience in freight or transportation is an asset.
• Ability to work evening PM shifts on-site, maintain attention to detail, and adapt to changing operational demands.
• Relevant post-secondary education in logistics, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience in transportation operations.
